I started tis thread because I wanted to see if women were as clueless as men about this. It seems that most of the women are close. But, the guys are pretty clueless. I was surprised at how many men think women want money from a man. It seems they view women as little more than prostitutes that will go with the man with the most money. This is the 21st century! Women can (and should) make their own money. Well they should, and many do, but most won't share the wealth.  What would you like them to do? Pay for dates? Buy you things? A date, a thing, yes, is that too much to ask? Or are you a member of the free dinner club?

What is this world you speak of? There is only one world and we can both coexist happily (men/women). I get uptight when someone tells me to relax, I'll relax when I'm good and ready I live in my world. You live in your world. Our worlds cross on this forum. I'm not talking about a stranger telling you to relax. I'm talking about someone you have built a connection with. Someone you trust. We do not live in different worlds, we live in different places. Our paths cross on the forums.  Someone I trust, have a connection with would know me better than to tell me to relax. If for one reason or another I am upset, it will pass but not because I was told to relax We live ON the same world (planet). But, not IN the same world (moving in circles). I'm not talking about someone telling you to relax during an argument. He's telling you to relax on your birthday. He says "Baby, I've planned a wonderful day for you at the spa. Then later we're having dinner. I've taken care of everything, so I want you to just relax and enjoy it all." |

Texas was just giving you a hard time  I am all for someone spoiling me but I do enjoying spoiling my partner as well. He can just relax and I'll take care of everything , just sit back and enjoy. Texas was just giving you a hard time I am all for someone spoiling me but I do enjoying spoiling my partner as well. He can just relax and I'll take care of everything , just sit back and enjoy. Things done with no ulterior motive or just because are usually the best. But, the thing is men don't usually like to be spoiled in this way. We'd rather you ask us what we want and give us that. Often we don't want anything and that's okay too. The men I know love it, one just has to have a great imagination. I've had no complaints. But it's true and to each their own, but a good imagination goes a long way. |

If a guy makes any remark about women being out for the money or using men for money, I completely shut down. It's over for me at that point and there is probably no redeeming yourself in my book. All generalizations piss me off, but this one is especially annoying to me.

I used to think that I knew the answer to this question...or at least had a clue. Now, I have come to the realization that I have no idea. Even if it is in front of them, reaching out to them, they will walk away from it. So, I give up.
