I plan all my FIRST dates and the next two or three. After that anything goes. I don't think that's a bad way to go. I planned my last first date because the guy refused. Wouldn't even say what kind of food he liked or give me an idea about anything. The guy before that planned good dates. I miss those. |

Let me see...we have to like each other, laugh together, get along pretty easily, have a similar sex drive and enjoy spending time together. You would have to have some kind of intellect-of course- I'm not expecting a Lex Fonteyne

I started tis thread because I wanted to see if women were as clueless as men about this. It seems that most of the women are close. But, the guys are pretty clueless. I was surprised at how many men think women want money from a man. It seems they view women as little more than prostitutes that will go with the man with the most money.

Women can (and should) make their own money. SO true! What a man has in his wallet, his employment info, his possessions, his pension, his bankability and, etc.? Have never once entered into the attractions or needs equation realm for me. I can take care of myself and have never been supported by a man financially, nor do I care to ever be ... Would be kewl if we won a phat lottery together though; we all want that! Good to lean on one another applies best ... Equally, I don't want a man that would freeload and seek a 'Sugar Mamma' type dependency ... Money is just NOT at all in the question for me! I ALWAYS say 'Quality, not Quantity'. If you've deep love, health and your own career ... What more do you need? ... Nothing ... |

I think that most are looking for different things and when they find what they think they want it is not that after all.
Actually men/women many times want the same thing but seems when they find one that will be that person they are not the one they can do those same things for. Always hoping and thinking there is something better down the road. Then they realize later they passed up some they should have looked a little closer at. |

I think that everyone is basically looking for the same thing, but at different times in our lives. What I look for now is not what I looked for 10 years ago.The hardest part is finding the "one" who is looking for the same things the same time you are. We all want that special someone to come home to after a bad day and know that we can talk with them about it. Someone who enjoys doing things with you because they are with you,even it they don't like doing the same things you do. Someone who trust and respects you. And for me,he has like to laugh and to make me laugh, life is too short to be serious all the time. Oh, and a little surprise, like a note, or just a card, every once in awhile, just to keep it intresting.
