The only people who seem interested in me are ones who are 40 or over. I'm only 27, and not interested in someone so close to my parents' ages. I don't get why people my age aren't interested in me.

How should I change my profile to get people interested?

I would tell you,,,but,,,,THEN.....

You would see me as one of them old parent types and think I was hitting on ya....So,,,,,I must go rest,,,,and sit down for a bit,,

I have the same thing happening, I think that they are just reaching, trying to recapture the tenacity of their youth, a suggestion, try taking to guys who are around your age, dont be afraid to reach out, you are a pretty woman, and you seem, from what I can tell, nice!

I was gonna suggest using the email filters, but I see you already have them set up.

I didn't mean to imply that there was something wrong with people over 40, I just don't feel comfortable with the age difference, (I would totally go for Vincent D'Onofrio if I met him, and he's my dad's age)I just won't have anything in common with someone only nine years younger than my mom.

So I actually do want to know what I should do to improve my profile.

as far as this guy is conserned there really is no REAL way to improve on your profile.
there is only one way to talk about yourself and your needs and who youre looking for.

i guess if some older guy starts to get a yen for you just tell him that he's to old for you.
but..
on the other hand..
say that you do start to get a friendship going with an older man,and you find that you have many things in common,who knows?..you might just change your mind.

I would suggest more than one picture. In my Scanning and looking I seemed to be more interested in the people with more pictures and shots that show people in different settings. It give people variety, that way if for whatever reason they are not crazy about one pic they can see another one they are more interested in.

The other issue is, not to be to derogatory to my own Sex and age group, but allot of guys our age are only looking for NSA sex.

LOL yeah, that would be true if 40 is the minimum age we're talking about here. I think 40 is just a baseline age she was mentioning. Like, only guys 40+ have shown interest. With that in mind, my suggestion is to put an age range on your profile, such as "Interested in guys 27-37."

I updated my profile. I don't know why it said as young as 22. You were right, I meant 40+, I did say I wasn't comfortable with someone only nine years younger than my mom. Why would anyone think that would mean my dad was 13 when my mom had me?
