I don't think I slept all night. Try Tylenol or Excedrin PM and the natural drug melatonin helps many sleep. I read staying on the computer when you can't sleep is BAAADD.bigsmile

Just go to your doctor. They can prescribe something if it is really bad.

No, for real.
Sex or exercise.

Both release endorphins which cause a natural high.
Sex produces dopamine and the reward pathway to go into overdrive.

All these things make your body naturally desire rest.

Real rest is difficult... and for me I have to trick my body into it.

Don't take benzos or drink yourself to sleep. If you're gonna do that I would say see if your doctor can prescribe you a gun and a fifth.

Hehe. I got all serious at the end, there. Just try to first two, first.

try warming up some milk. Turn off all destractions close your eyes and focus on the spot right about the bridge of your nose..breath slow and before you realize its morning..simple yoga.

been to the doctors and all they told me was the basics, dont do this, try this, and what not. i finally took some allergy pills last night and i passed out in probably 10 minutes.

I really haven't slept more then 5 hours a night since I was 7. No doctors can tell me why, nothing has really worked, it's just how my body functions. If you think your not getting enough rest when you do sleep then there plenty of meds out there at work pretty well.

doctors will try to play you off and give you benadryl. it works for some people

I've tried Ambien and Lunesta and they don't work for me. They put me in a trance like state and dont make me sleep. very dangerous

I have a prescription for Restoril (Temezapam) close relative of valium. and that stuff puts me out. but it builds a tolerance quickly, so every fourth night or so I have to lay off it

I've found that maryjuana helps a lot too. not just in falling asleep but in maintaining a deeper sleep.
