Not me...too much of the same old stuff, just with a different twist to it. It would be a waste of good air time on the Networks.

oh sorry

I thought that said "Obama's goat"

I'm gonna watch the State of the Union but I'm gonna turn the sound down and just watch his body language. They'll replay the speech enough for me to listen to it later

but first I want to look at it from the point of view of his emotions and body language first

That's a good idea...your right about the body language! I have discovered that if you turn off the sound on programs or most anything...you come away with what I think is a little clearer view point of the issue! But BS is still BS, no matter how you slice it!

Sounds like you've already made your mind up about the way things will go.

It'll be another "hope" speech, no doubt.

"22 Jan 2010 - Marshall Nirenberg, a scientist whose groundbreaking work
untangling fundamental genetic processes earned him a Nobel Prize, has died."

And to think Obama was alloted the same prize as Mr. Nirenberg.

I will too. I guess you and I are the only Dems on here, and we will be castigated along with our president. Thing is, if they're going to tune in to FOX Noise, they too will have the State of the Union on as well. Maybe they can watch Discovery or the History Channel and learn something.

Yes, I am sure the President has significant input into the speech and would not say what he doesnt believe, after reviewing the speech before speaking(As any great orator does,,).

I always enjoy listening to him,, after the last eight years, he is refreshing to listen to and instills me with pride in his demeanor and speech and his ideas as well.

PRESIDENTIAL POWERS AND DUTIES , according to constitution

be the Commander-in-Chief of the armed services
have the power to grant reprieves and pardons
have the power to make treaties (with concurrence of the Senate)
appoint Ambassadors, Supreme Court judges, and all other Officers of the United States
appoint vacancies that may occur during the recess of the Senate
receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers
care that the laws be faithfully executed
Additionally, the President shall

recommend to Congress measures for their consideration (propose a bill)
approve or veto every Congressional bill (vetoes may be over-ridden

Notice the word PROPOSE, and RECOMMEND, the president doesnt MAKE anything happen on his own, he starts the processs and and congress has to work with it,, or not,

I hope to hear more of what he is proposing although I am not naive to believe the congress will agree to it all or accomplish it all.
