Loved it. Was a little dissaopointed in the ending. But none the less, great movie!!

I think I have it up next on netflix.

Is there drama(love story) in the plot or is it mostly a war film?

Thank you. I don't always have to have that, but if you saw Inglorius Ba*tar*s even that movie had some drama/love element to it.

It was a good movie, but "Best Picture?" Not sure about that. I'm gonna have to see a few more of the nominees. Personally, I liked Inglorius Basterds better.

I'm starting not to not have much faith in the whole Academy Awards. Seems to have too many politics.

i thought it was a realy good film, displaying the passion these people have and why they do what they do.

it doesnt matter to them what the polotics behind the war are, most probably dont realy think about the rehabilitation of the country they`re suposedly fighting for.
no, the reality is that these men.. and women, do these jobs because its all they want to do, call them adrenaline junkies if you like but they are needed for a job that someone who had to do as a career rather than a life style, just couldnt do as well.

altho the real sense of responcibility for the little dvd kid was a reminder of how some of these warriors feel. and the conflict they have to deal with in their own mind.

the film is not about war, its about a certain type of soldier. so dont avoid it just because you think its a war film. those people who watch it thinking it will be a gun slinging action film just wont understand the messages it attempts to deliver.

Finally saw this over the weekend. Very good movie.

i was too at first. then i thought about how the whole movie was this adrenaline rush and then...nada. left me feeling just like the guy in he movie, and he had to go back. so, creative directing genius, i say!

absolutely loved this movie, and was thrilled that it won best picture, it definitely deserved it.

that's how i meant that...'had to' in the sense that internally, within himself, he needed it. awesome movie!
