Topic: same old tired subject

I just got a request from someone not in the forums to IM, being a little bored I figured, ok, chat a bit...He started in right away - FIRST SENTENCE about all we have in common! And how great I am! When I asked if he had seen FRIENDSHIP in my profile and that I believe in "chat globally, date locally" Poof he was gone. Not that i give a d*** but WTF. I think we need a totally separate forum just for the site trollers! I was all ready to be nice and chat...people (not to say guys) need to get a grip on the fact that this a social site, not only a dating site!! Ok thanks all for letting me vent. Can't say I didn't warn you that this was the same old same old!! PS I may have some very good news to share later this week, will post in appropriate forum!!!!

I'll tell you what I'm getting lately. IMs from women who make normal (?) conversation for about three sentences, and then they say "Why don't we chat on [fill in the name of some scammer haven]." And I say "We have IM and e-mail right here, why go anywhere else?" And they vanish! It's magic! Of course, I report them and they get nuked almost instantaneously. I'm starting to see it as a sport.

And I say "We have IM and e-mail right here, why go anywhere else?" And they vanish! It's magic! Of course, I report them and they get nuked almost instantaneously. I'm starting to see it as a sport. Lex, I've been trying to get you to IM me on gaybeardating.com for ions to no avail. Now I know why.

I get them from guys once in a while, and I pretty much say the same thing, along with the fact that I don't give out my personal information until I know them better, and they usually do just wander off to a new mark. I think I've only had to block two from this site, and one from the other site I'm on.

As for your annoying guy, there's a good possibility he won't bug you any more. If he does, we have some options....! But in my experience, if they just vanish instantaneously, they usually stay gone!
