Guy at work, been talking for about two weeks now. Discussed movies or the local ren-faire that will be starting next week as something to do. Gave him my number. Got a couple of texts from him late last night as it was my night off.

Texted today inviting him over. No real response. Had also been texting a friend about him, and it accidentally sent to him, not her. I got a basic "ur texting the wrong person" for which I apologized and haven't heard a thing since.

Screwed right?

See...one more reason I don't do cell phones. frown

Hopefully he has a good sense of humor, processes the
"texts" with an open mind, and calls you back. Unless
you put something really bad in the texts, it shouldn't
be a major problem.flowerforyou

Not necessarily. If he acts like a dimwit over something like that, it just shows he's not the guy for you. He ought to be flattered that you like him, not freaked out.

Well normally I don't have issues with it either, but I don't usually multi-text at one time.

I'd just told my friend about meeting this new guy in town who I was interested in, smart and good looking. But that we hadn't discussed religion which usually kills any possibilities. And he's more city type where I'm country.

Maybe, maybe not. What this definitely is is a case of "You're sooooo busted."

But you're not totally screwed yet-- unless he starts telling all of his guy friends.

Yeah I could see if it was rated r or something. I did drop a text later this evening asking if he was free to talk but he never responded. So either no or busy.

Guess i'll find out when I go in to work Sun night.

He's from out of state so I'm not real worried about guy friends. I'm just saddened at the thought if it ruins any chances.

So sorry to hear of the predicament you have fallen into. None the less I hope that in time your worries will be realized as silly and it all works out in the end. If this guy read too much into your text and gets too worked up over nothing, surely the lost will be only his I assure you. Every relationship has hiccups there is no reason to choke on them.

I had women literally "falling in love" in text messages and then breaking up with me , without ever hearing my voice or seeing me in real life.

That's why I hate cell phones and doubt the effectiveness of emails or anything that is written by printed letters. (A hand written letter can show more emotions than digital text). Throughout the whole drama, I had this face ---> spock

It's been proven, that there are more people single while having all the technology available than in the age when there was none of it.

If it's any consolation, the Universe is a pretty funky place where anything can happen. Mebbe it will smile your way today in the form of this crisis at the very beginning of a potential relationship being a form of serendipity that will forge a much stronger bond than usual if worked through.

Who knows?

I went out with someone about five years ago who slipped up like this on a first date. It was pretty awkward and I tried to gloss it over. About 15 minutes later, she got an 'emergency' call from her sister whose place we had spent part of the afternoon, abruptly ending the date.

I sent her a card the next day thanking her for seeing me but things pretty much ended there. I didn't hear anything back, so figured it was my duty to be a Spartan and ride off into the sunset.

So the other side of the coin with guys like me is "If they cut you, never let 'em see you bleed."
