Where I'm from (Denmark) men aren't very forward and it is often the women who has to take the initiative. It sucks :-)! I would love it if a nice guy opproached me in the mall or on the street just to say he thought I was cute and wanted to ask me out to dinner. No alcohol involved and no smartass remarks. I agree with "thewaterbearer". Just be honest and even if a couple of them turn you down at least you'll know that you've just made their day a whole lot better. I think any girl would be flattered if a sweet guy gave them a compliment and showed and interest in them! Happy hunting ;-)
