Sounds pretty simple to me just ask him if she can keep it and pay him for it if that is what she wants to do....
 Heck when I got a divorce I keep our old set and my new set.... sold the new set out right and used his old ring and had part of it melted down to repair another ring of mine I had had for a long time and wanted it fixed...... keep what was left of his and my first set which had lost the diamond out of it in order to use for repairs down the road as needed.....  But as far as engagement rings they are suppose to go back to the guy.... just most don't want them back or the ladies refuse to give them back out of spite....

Txs - I've been appalled lately at seeing how men and women seem to be out for the stuff when a relationship goes south. It's gotta to be a screw the other person over type thing.
In this case, these two aren't so I'm guessing the engagement ring and buying it won't be that big of a deal. Thanks ya'll for the advice. Passing it on. |

ring is given back..it is a promise of marriage, if the marriage doesn't happen she returns the ring...although ALL the women I know did not the return the ring out of spite, even if they broke the engagement.
I had one once , gave it back...maybe should have kept it, maybe not, water under the bridge. |

An engagement ring is a physical sign of commitment. For the life of me I can't figure out why she would want to keep it.
I guess with the new age thought process, she could offer to buy it from him and have him fill out the contract etc. Sorry this is just a bit weird for me. |
