Aye, I have to give one more example:

The Danish People's Party is a relative newcomer in Danish politics.
Formed in 1996, it won 7.4% of the total vote in the March 1998
elections and took 13 seats. The 1998 elections were won by the Social
Democrats and Radical Liberals, who formed a coalition government.

The Danish People's Party first became a significant player after the
Conservatives and Liberals triumphed in November 2001 and formed a
coalition government reliant on DPP support for a parliamentary
majority.

The Liberal-Conservative government introduced what it described as
Europe's strictest immigration laws in May 2002.

The right to asylum on humanitarian grounds, which had previously seen
up to 60% of applications approved, was scrapped, the acceptable grounds
for being granted asylum were cut to the bare minimum required under the
Geneva Convention for Refugees, and social benefits for refugees were
cut by 30%-40% for their first seven years in the country.

New provisions stipulated that Danish citizens could not bring a foreign
spouse into the country unless both partners were aged 24 or over,
passed a solvency test showing the Dane had not claimed social security
for 12 months and had to lodge a bond of 53,000 kroner ($9,300).

Good morning, Dear!!flowerforyou laugh laugh

I know what you meant, I was just pointing out that we are dealing, or
trying to deal with the problem here a lot more humane and fair than
European countries...drinker

Mainly, because we have not ignored the problem for as long!

Little do you know, it was a problem already when I was a child in
Germany when our economy was just about to start after the war.

I know, and I also know that it is a problem that your government
brought on by their own choice. Europeans tend to try and give us a hard
time about the resistance we exhibit so as to not become as deeply
ingrained in the problem as they are!

We didn't ask for the problem and do not want it to become as bad, with
violence and what not! So far we are only fighting our Government, but I
have seen signs of impatientence with that approach, and rumours of
worse! I myself dont want to see that, but people are becoming
frustrated here, and everytime I turn around someone from Europe is
saying how intolerant we are, when they are just as bad or worse!

Ok you're all going to either yell at me or just laugh at me but eh well
..what if we taught the people trying to immigrate a better way to
survive , jobs, education etc...then things would not look like they are
better any where else and well they might stay where they are from...ok
let the yelling and laughing commence, I am a big girl and can take it

I can't believe some of the things I have just read about in this post.
This is one topic I should just walk away from but I can't. One person
said we should teach them a better way to live so they stay home. Well,
we are building several huge businesses in Mexico right now. KODAK, IBM,
HULLET PAC, RAM LINE, and even most of the cell phone companies are now
based there. Why? Because the people there will work for less money.
Then they come to the U.S. in groves to take jobs for less money just to
put it in a sock and send it to their families in Mexico. What the hell
does this do for our country? Well lets see, it takes away jobs that we
could have, drives down wages, takes money straight out of here and puts
in Mexico, drives down property values, destroys rental properties some
times beyond repair, raises insurance rates because they wont get it and
cause accidents. Not to mention raises my blood pressure. We give them
schooling, business grants, food, medical, and health care. What more
can we do for the poor people that have no right or business being here
unless it’s to be a tourist. Then I set here in pain with no dental
insurance and get turned away while a person that can’t, or won’t
even talk our language sits waiting to be seen. We have to constantly
maintain a way to keep our identity safe from them. Hell we have nothing
to ***** about, right! If you’re in another country and think we are
just *****ing, feel free to take as meny as you like to your hometown
and teach them a better way to live. Rent them a house, or better yet,
just build them one and give it to them and call it humanity. GO FOR
IT!!

Yeah.. Put the numbers to it and see where we are. Over half of there
country is here. WTF is up with that. Then we get to see on TV to save
the starving children over seas. What about our own people starving or
going with out medical attention. I am forced to be my own boss to make
the money I need to support my family but now with insurance rates so
high I can't afford it so I go with out. I am 44 years old and the last
time I had a physical is when I got out of the NAVY in 1984. Then we set
up clinics just to serve the immigrants????? Is there something I don't
understand about this picture or what????

The laws have changed but when thousands of people (illegal immigrants)
can protest while breaking the law, it causes me to wonder...... (Yes, I
understand that Southern California was Spanish/Inca however.....) Can I
protest that she really meant yes when she said no?

A law passed here in AZ today, it’s called the Death Penalty for
business. Any business caught twice hiring illegals loose there
business license for good. The first time they loose it for 10 busines
days.

YAY for AZ

we already have all the laws on the books to solve the illegal immigrant
problem if they were only enforced.

Immigration Outcome Too Close to Call
Published: 6/24/07, 8:45 PM EDT
By JIM ABRAMS
WASHINGTON (AP) - Senators pushing a new immigration policy appealed
Sunday to wavering supporters ahead of renewed debate on securing the
borders and dealing with 12 million undocumented immigrants.

A fragile compromise was pulled from the Senate in early June, then
resurrected after bipartisan negotiations with the White House. The bill
awaits a crucial test vote this week. With several senators distancing
themselves from the proposal, the outcome was too close to call.

I saw face the nation this morning and many are predicting they will get
the 60 votes needed, but that it will be close!
