American troops discovered an orphanage full of retarded boys that were
naked with their hands and feet tied and starving, some just days away
from death. Now the Iraqi Ministry is calling us their evil enemy and
that those boys were tied up for their own good. The story goes much
deeper. What the hell are we doing there? Pull the freakin plug, go
home, and let that sh*t hole of a backwards country implode with
in-fighting. Hell, look at it as nature's way of weeding out the stupid!

We'll never leave. Why? Oil. Anyone who dosen't think so needs to look
at the oil companies' balance sheets since we've been there. Every
quarter is the same report:record profits. Not record gross-record
PROFITS! Are you listening, Neal Boortz? It's like Bush & Co. have a
license to print money. Every member of this "administation"(crime
family is more like it)is HEAVILY tied into the oil industry. What's
worse-the fact that the worst President in history, by far, is pulling
these stunts, or the fact that there are some people who still, to this
day, hang upon his every word?

The solution is not to leave those children and others to suffer. Why
do all the bleeding hearts only care about those people who aren't being
helped. If we moved into Darfur, you would have protests inside a week.
The same people who wanted us in there would be demanding we leave. Who
is more deserving of our protection than mentally delayed children? Can
anyone or anything be more innocent? I feel like I need a shower every
time I read these threads.

Weeding out the stupid people?explode

I will not say whether or not I am pro or anti-war...but I will say
this...I am a humanitarian.

Do we let children die? Metally retarded boys in an orphanage die...as a
means of "weeding out the stupid people"?

This deeply upsets me! This kind of thinking is what made Hitler
powerfull.

NO!!!! WE DO NOT LET THEM DIE, I THINK WE SHOULD HELP THOSE WHO DO NOT
HAVE THOSE TO HELP THEM.

My uncle enlisted in the army during Vietnam. He was a firefighter.
One night he got a call that a hospital was on fire, he volunteered to
help extinguish the fire and rescue patients out of the local hospital.
As he was putting out the fire, civilians started to throw rocks at the
soldiers...including my uncle. Many men wondered what they were doing
there when so many people (the vietnamese & americans) did not
appreciate their efforts. The truth is the LIVES THEY SAVED will be
remembered. They are alive & appreciate what they have done for them.

TwilightsTwin,

WE HAVE A WINNAH!

Thanks for being a breath of fresh air in this closet of stupidity and
hate that we call a discussion of current events.

TwilightsTwin's photo

I am not a "winner".

What I see is those who are "conditioned".

The civilians of Iraq are "conditioned". All that they know is war, it
is all that they see everyday. They are fighting a force blindly. The
do not care which race, what gender, or what actions/efforts are being
made. They are occupied, like the vietnamese and they are
tired/frustraighted. Does this justify their actions against us? No,
but this is how theyve been conditioned. We can not blame a people or
its government for that matter whom has never had control in the first
place.

Imagine yourself, sitting at home and having strange men armed set up
bunkers in your basement. At anytime the can rearange your home, knock
out walls, use your bathroom, and never say whether or not they are
leaving. Would you be annoyed too? Its hard for them to take in that
we are helping them, when they are in the front lines of this mess.

We are also "conditioned".

We are conditioned by our goverment, our media, our convience, and this
is what makes us just "blind". It is easy for us to say "Close your
eyes, walk away from dying children"...when we ourselves are safe at
home eating doritos & sipping a cola. The truth is what must all do what
is morally right. If I was there...I would help the boys, even if I was
stoned then later called "evil". "Evil" in my eyes is walking away.

I do not agree with war, but we all must have morality & ethics even
when others do not. How else are we ever going to learn to conquer? Set
an example rather than to join the problem!

This kind of thinking proves exactly how simular we really are!!

My example was a metaphor btw, I did not mean us troops are actually
occuping Iraqi homes. Think of your "home" as the Iraqi cities for
example.

All I can suggest is that we all go home with some reading material
tonight. I dont mean CNN or FOX NEWS, I suggest we all read "Utopia" by
Sir Thomas Moore

well if we really cared about the children of any description we would
just get the hell out..everyday that america is there only incites more
violence which results in more civilian death...
it's hippocritical to claim you are for the war but outraged by the
death of the innocent...war creates the theatre of death..
you reap what you sow...direct your outrage and anger where it
belongs...the oil cartel & the IMF...both of whom are filling their
coffers while our men & women and Iraqi innocent are slaughtered...look
at the whole picture...

bl8ant,

I'm sorry, so the answer of "Leave the retarded kids to die like
animals" is both smart and loving? That position is repugnant.

"Pull the freakin plug, go home, and let that sh*t hole of a backwards
country implode with in-fighting" - So loving...so intelligent...

Every thread turns into "Them damn Jews and Republicans! They are the
ones who supported the Nazis, killed the Palestinians, cause
terrorism..." What ever the situation, it's the fault of the Jews and
the republicans.

It's so easy to blame the worlds problems on others, especially if you
disagree with them for political reasons already.

davinci1952,

"it's hippocritical to claim you are for the war but outraged by the
death of the innocent..." Why? I realize that innocent people are
killed on ACCIDENT, but pulling out would be killing innocent people on
PURPOSE. I can accept accidental deaths, but purposefully killing
inncents is unacceptable. It's not a hypocritical position at all. We
knew that pulling out of Vietnam would result in many more deaths, it's
estimated at between 1 and 3 millions deaths resulted from that pull
out. The really tragic thing was that the enemy was almost completely
defeated when we pulled out of Vietnam. In Iraq, we have many
indicators that show improvements, but instead of waiting for a report
on how the push is going, we have many people who just want to assume
failure and pull out. If we have a chance to help millions of people
live better lives, why not? The Iraqis haven't been free in a long
time, they are struggling. They need our help. Recently a tribal
leader in Iraq was quoted as saying "Any gun pointed at an American is
pointed at an Iraqi." We are making progress and even if we weren't,
pulling out is NOT the answer.

davinci1952 said "I agree...get the hell out..."

So bl8ant, is your position that the US should stay in Iraq or pull out?
If we pull out, what will happen in Iraq? Pulling out isn't saying
"Kill as many innocent Iraqis as possible", but that's the end result.
