I wonder how the poll would look if they took it in New Orleans,,,, interesting numbers though,,,,,,still dont know of any deaths from the oil spill but time will tell,, I don't have to wonder about that ... my family and friends who still live there say that he's despised by at least 90 per cent of the state - including New Orleans ... Give him time - he'll find a way to blame Bush for his own incompetence ... AGAIN COWBOY UP and help out or are you just a political hack who just wants to run his mouth!!!! Florida will be hit as will the east coast of the United States. someone please explain to me. how an oil spill. is anything close to the people who died in new Orleans hurricane. unless your saying money is more important then a human life. that was my question too,, but I think you are hitting the nail on the head,,,,economically speaking and environmentally, the effects will be awful,,,,its whether we look at the long term environment as more or less or equally significant as the CURRENT human life OBama is in a sticky situation, because SO much needed fixing when he took the job(and he took it knowing this) that whatever doesn't get fixed will be on his shoulders,,,,whereas there wasnt MUCH Bush had to do but Maintain what was already happening,, with the exception of 9/11 so now people look at this president to fix the economy, educational and health systems, the immigration problems, international relations, and now this environmental accident as well,,,,I dont envy him, but I do respect him for dealing with it and moving forward all while remaining a respectful man and father and husband,,, |

The invasion of Iraq was a direct military response to 9/11.
What should we have done? Impose sanctions against Iraq or have the UN censure them? Yeah-that would have worked. The argument could be made that Iraq was not involved in 9/11. However, there are Taliban and Al-Queda training camps in Iraq, and Saddam backed them both. Afghanistan is also the prime breeding ground for Taliban and Al-Queda. Should we have not gone after Bin Laden after 9/11? Iraq and Afghanistan have both been involved in waging acts of terrorism around the globe. Should we have given them a pass for 9/11 or for the USS Cole or the Embassy bombings? Iraq and Afghanistan for that matter have both vowed openly to wage war against us. The US cannot be submissive to either of these countries. Don't forget, Bush gave Saddam plenty of time to respond before sending in military forces. An unprovoked attack against the US will be answered, with or without Congressional approval as it should be. Just for the record, Korea was an undeclared war also. |

Congress did not "disapprove" it either leaving the decisions up to the current Presidential Office and cabinet. That way no matter what happened congress could not receive blame either way. Smart way to play a re-election do you not think so? Either way, whether you agree or disagree, what is done is done....kind of like crying over spilt milk don't ya think? P.S. I am alive because of the Korean War.....if it had not of happened....my grandmother and grandfather would have never met. |

Every Presidential in history has been handed debts and issues from previous bullsh*t.......don't blame Bush or Obama, nor any individual....blame the parties...that's right folks both parties...we as a people seem to keep re-electing into office. As long as we're stupid enough to keep voting 'party' instead of 'principle', we're gonna remain screwed. This NOVEMBER is a great place and time to begin by throwing out EVERY INCUMBENT, no matter WHICH 'party's letter is behind their name. Screw the 'party' - they're screwing US, that's for damned sure. Time to clean house and let the new ones know by that action that they, too, are on the chopping block if they don't perform.
