I think the best way to get to know someone is a nice long drive or ride in the country. Stop somewhere, grab some refreshments, and go find a nice river or creek to sit next to. What do you think works best for a first outting together ? Dennis

Well personally I feel the first "outing", "date" or meeting of another person depends where and how you were introduced. And since my first outing would be a first meeting period, I would want it to be in a safe place, well lit and for a short time period ( like for a cup of coffee at a diner ) so that if things get creepy I would feel ok leaving after that cup of coffee and not be stuck with the other person.

Now if you are talking about an outing with an established person you trust and want to see again...the possibilities are endless. Fishing at the local lake with picnic basket. A drive to the pier to dangle toes in the water and feeding bread to the geese. OR how about checking out the local carnival or town fair and walking around sampling the food.

It all depends on what you like to do. Share a passion you have for something with the other person. Do you like archery, take her to the local shooting range. Do you like gardening, take him to the town square where there could be several different plants to show him. The possibilities are endless.

Thats not a bad idea for a motorhead like myself. Take her to Harbor Freight and see how she reacts to all those tools, and while were at it, I can see how she looks with a welding hood on

A nice long drive in the country with a stranger isn't so appealing to me...maybe later but not a first meet. The first meet needs to be in a public place, there's a lot of freaks out there.

yea ill never forget the one guy i met on the internet that had a pic that was 10 yrs old... told me he was 5'10 yet he was maybe a inch taller than me... yes im 5'4... like that mattered anyway? met him on a hwy.. very busy road..and i parked by it too! daylight.. at red lobster.... first thing he tells me is.. dont mind if people stare at us its just cause i come in here all the time.... that was my greet at the door.. ate dinner.. came out and even daylight and busy traffic he had the gull to pin me against my car with my hands above my head cause i did not want a kiss.. and he planted one on me anyway.. though i told him no and to let go of me i had to struggle to get him off! so would i ever go on a ride for a first date? hell no! a hike? hell no!i can only imagine what this guy would of done if that were the case!

I agree, I wouldn't last an hour in your world, and i'd be on the freeway headed back to the tree's

guys can be jerks... i agree with you, always keep it somewhere where women can be safe. but y'all should always carry some mace or a stun gun just in case too, even a loud whistle will do. lots of weirdos out there.

i just think it is leaving an opening for a dangerous person to step in is all.... for any woman not just me... rather you arent like that or not its not worth a chance for any woman. i dont think there that many creeps like that... at least i havent ran into them.. however facts are one creep out there is enough.. and its all about taking a chance or risking higher chances if you dont meet in public.. and more than likely there are creeps out there who would not of even thought of doing such a thing in the public.... but would elsewhere....

i always like going to a beach after dinner to watch the sunset, been a favorite of mine...i saw somebody didn't like bookstores idea, bookstores are a great idea, great place to chat and drink some coffee.

I like something casual. Maybe shooting pool or hanging out somewhere. I'm more of a casual type of girl and I feel more comfortable in a setting like that

my reasonings to not doing this.. i was very fit... i got more pleasure showing him what he was messing with... not that i couldnt, wouldn't or shouldn't of done this..for i would of if i needed to...
