Stumbled across an antichrist website and thought i'd check it out and see what they had to say. People that try to prove their are inconsistencies and or conflicts are taking verses out of context and not getting the true meening. This is an example of what this particular site had to say about it's inconsistencies.

GE 1:31 God was pleased with his creation.

GE 6:5-6 God was not pleased with his creation

If you read GE 6:5-6 you will see that God was not pleased with his creations actions. And you're not gonna tell me your child never upsets you and therefor doesn't please you. Parents aren't pleased with their children 24/7. So as you can see it's not that God was unpleased by his creation in general, just unpleased in the actions his creations were taking.

Just thought it was funny how far they reach to try to prove their point. I find it astonishing.

People come up with anything to prove the lord as well. All you are proving is that there are idiots on both sides of the spectrum.

GE 2:15-17, 3:4-6 It is wrong to want to be able to tell good from evil.

HE 5:13-14 It is immature to be unable to tell good from evil

GE Never once said that as they try to claim Here's the verse for referance.
15And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die

GE is clearly just saying it is wrong to eat of the tree because God told them not to. Nothing more, nothing less.

The number of idiotic things is possibly infinite. Are you saying there are none?

All you are doing is picking and choosing what you belief in the bible. I've been in many of these "out of context" "debates" before, and the meaning doesn't change in any significant way.

Just as you can pick quotes that "proves" these people wrong, Anyone else can pick quotes that "prove" the others right.

But I prefer to live in the here and now, and not really worry about a collection of irrelevant and outdated myths.

God is here and now. God was here yesterday, is here today, and will be here tomarrow. God is the alpha and omega, the begining and the end.

Of course it wouldnt actually reveal God, but then, neither do any attempts made by any believers, do they?

I know you will deny that statement, so just prove it by revealing god to me now, in whatever way you chose. Just make sure he is revealed ok? I dont want to be disappointed now.

People don't find God for one main reason. Think about kids playing hide'n go seek. Would the seeker find the hider if he didn't put forth the effort? Or would the seeker sit there and say well if this person wants to be found he will reveal himself to me. Nobody can prove God in anyway or disprove God. God is something we have to seek on our own.

So anyway.... how can you say that the disbelievers can be inconsistant, but the believers cannot be?

Also you have to keep in mind, dieing is not physically passing away. The ONLY way to die is to not receive the gift of heaven. If one receives the gift of heaven they shall have ever lasting life, they never die. Again just because our physical body "dies and or passes away" does not meen we "die".

Not stating that ALL unbelievers are inconsistent. Just showing how hard atheist people truely try to show the incompetence of the bible. They take verses out of context to fit to what they are claiming.

And believers do the exact same thing. And from what I've seen, believers do it more deceitfully.

At this point I really have to ask what the point of this thread is, because it seems to me like an attempt to "legally" troll the atheists/agnostics by having this thread in the Gen Religion section..

No i'm not saying believers don't do this. Believers do this alot. What i was refering to is that doing this is the ONLY defence people have to deny the lord. And they continuously do it.

The above is exactly how it's put on this site i'm refering to about denying the lord. Now look below and you'll nottice the verse they are refering to. And you'll nottice it talks about stumbleth/stumbling...... would insinuate being drunk. So therefor we can see the message from this passage is that it is wrong to get drunk. Not specifically wrong to drink wine in general.

The only reference to the beast number is to a tribe that we know as a l-rd who rises.
