this thursday (July 1st) is a holiday in canada...my boss proposed that if I worked a couple of extra hours on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday that he would give me friday off (paying me for four days) - would you accept?...it seems like a no brainer, but working a couple of extra hours for those three days might just mean that I won't be able to see my adorable 15 month old baby nephew much for those three days...hmmm...I really dont like working such long days, but....

Do the OT and then spend extra time with your nephew on Friday.

Hummm all I can say is it may take away from being with someone for a few but they actually gain extra time in the long run.
Plus I would make it clear how much overtime he is asking for...

No because technically he is working to make up for Fri. not over 40 hours during the week.
