You could simply try a friend request, and advise them that you're interested, however, their settings are blocking you..
I wouldn't try that more than once, though. Folks pretty much know what they want, and those settings are a good indication. If you're just slightly outside of the preset criteria, you could try the above. Obviously, if you're way beyond the persons criteria, it's a moot point. |

Don't worry about not receiving responses from folks that have criteria set, to keep from receiving emails from some.
There are plenty of people that won't answer you're mail, whose criteria you do fit!!!
