opposites do attract,,,,not polar opposites though

generally, those things we see all the time in our everyday life become mundane, so the more 'different' someone is, the more chance they have of catching our attention

but that only comes to the physical part of the relationship,,,,,the rest of it requires two people to have SOMETHINGS in common which they can build upon,,

Sounds like you are saying what most did here. Opposites are good as long as the really important things are the same.

Ya know? I'm not going to bother writing about what I'm looking for because, let's face it, NO ONE reads the profiles anyway.

I doubt anyone will even read what I wrote about myself.

So, you are not limiting yourself. Which is good. On the other hand, I've recently come up with a few deal breakers. The first being someone who smokes. No smokers.
So, I got that figured out. laugh

smokes what? crack?
laugh

Yes, crack. Meth is fine, but no crack.

hahahahahahahahaha

I always read a profile even if, as it often seems, there's nothing to read there. I've noticed a lot of profiles have "asdfasdf" or "..." or "ask me" as the entire thing. Always a good place to start a conversation, no? :)

It's really the only place to start. If I want to email a guy I always look for something on his profile to start a conversation.

I say "always" like I actually email anyone. laugh

I don't like the "ask me" either...anybody who's anybody can leave a little something, something.

I like when they say "Looking for someone who shares my interests" and they never tell you what their interests are.

Attraction attracts ... No one knows the math, science, method or madness ...

It would be bottled by now, were there any answer coming even close ...

The heart/mind/soul complex just wants what it wants - no rhyme or reason!!!

And? It can change in an instant, flip on a dime ...

Core inside/internal values would be the same even if the external values seem different.

Yes I think they can attract:wink: , I think its about learning new things and being open to it. If you are you will embrace the mutual changing in growth. flowerforyou

I think opposite is attractive at first but bound for disaster.
I think for a relationship to work, partners need to different but sailing in the same direction.
So many marriages have ended because of differences in opinions or habits.

I don't think my "opposite" would share many of my core values with me....to far the other way and I just don't know what we would talk about.

That was my concern about opposites. Core values are a must. I just can't see myself with an artsy, dancing, and exuberant kind of person, which seems to be most of the ladies that actually go out on the weekends because I assume that their core values defer from my own when infact some of them I might share core values.
