Two F-16 fighters under the direction of North American Aerospace Defense Command responded to two single engine aircraft violating a temporary flight restricted area in the vicinity of Las Vegas. The fighters, on station to enforce the TFR, intercepted the first aircraft, a Cessna 210, at approximately 7:05 a.m. PDT and the other single engine general aviation aircraft at approximately 7:34 a.m. PDT.

The Cessna landed at the North Las Vegas Airport where it was met by local authorities and the second aircraft landed in Mesquite, Nevada where it was met by authorities.

NORAD's mission – in close collaboration with homeland defense, security, and law enforcement partners – is to prevent air attacks against North America, safeguard the sovereign airspaces of the United States and Canada by responding to unknown, unwanted and unauthorized air activity approaching and operating within these airspaces, and provide aerospace and maritime warning for North America.

NORAD may be required to monitor, shadow, divert from flight path, direct to land and/or destroy platforms deemed a potential threat to North America.

NORAD is the bi-national Canadian and American command that is responsible for the air defense of North America and maritime warning.

What they didn't mention is what air space they violated, probably the Nevada Test and Training Range(Area 51) right outside Las Vegas. Im sure the fighters came from Nellis.

Most occasions when the President is giving a speech or in a public forum, especially when his whereabouts are published, a temporary "no fly zone" can be put up at the request of the Secret Service. Any unauthorized flights will be intercepted by the USAF, and if not complied, will be shot down before they have the ability to crash into an area occupied by the Commander in Chief.

Basically, they don't want someone doing to the Prez what that guy did to the IRS building in Dallas.

Yea, but you also have to remember that is right where the Nellis restricted range is and we hear about it all the time in the local papers how some bonehead flew into it and got intercepted and escorted to the closest airport with authorities waiting.

Well, if those flying saucers they have housed there can't take out a Cessna, then I'm not too worried about alien invasion.

It's just a test site for black projects.

Keep in mind Area 51 is what the military WANTS you to see. For those in the know about conspiracies just look up "the Marconi Radio Flyer" and "Marconi's Forbidden City" in Argentina. Our government has stuff they do not want anyone knowing about. I would not be at all surprised if they had Extra Terrestrials among us in secret locations as well.

I doubt it. Area 51 I believe is nothing more then a testing ground for Black Projects. They have daily flights to shuttle the workers in from Las Vegas on 747's. I also read that when they test the aircraft everyone involved with the test is in lockdown in windowless rooms.

I also read that military pilots can't even fly in the territory unless they are given clearance otherwise they get severly repremanded and even grounded.

All of our top aircraft over the past 50 years was designed and tested there. SR-71, U2, Stealth B2, Stealth F-117, Have Blue, RQ-170 Sentinel and rumor has it they are also flying the Aurora out of there which is an interesting little project if it actually exists.

Also back in the Cold war they test flew Soviet MIG's we acquired over the years to test their capabilities.

AND if they were indeed intercepting on the restricted airspace over the President's location why would they use F-16's which are so outdated when they have the largest F-22 squadron in the country down there at Nellis Air Force Base.

You would think we want the best protecting the President.
