What are you doing to prepare for possible major events as speculated by multiple documented ancient prophecies?

It isn't speculated by ancient prophecies. It is speculated by people reading them.

Besides, the only great change is the beginning of a new b'ak'tun in the Mayan calendar. Even the existing Mayan's laugh at the western concept of 'end times.'

So no, nothing is going to happen, just like 2000.

Maya
Egyptian
Inca
Hopi

all say the same thing..and it's nothing that's "happening" on that date. It's a shift that's been happening since June 21, 2008 and will continue, on and through that specific date.

It's all good....

You ARE kidding, right ... ? 'Ancient prophecies' ... ? Even the Maya disclaim what the 'prophecy' and 'New Age' crowd are trying to make of 2012. 21 Dec. 2012 will be just another day on the calendar - but it still leaves you four more days to finish your Christmas shopping. The BIG question is what all the 'true believer' types who buy into this crap are gonna do on 22 Dec. 2012 when they find out they've been scammed ... again ... and still need to report for work.

Who remembers the 'Grand Alignment of Planets' back in the '80s ... ? That's when all the planets were gonna be lined up in a straight line like the opening shot in '2001: A Space Odyssey' ... the 'combined gravity' was supposed to cause tidal waves 'n earthquakes and, in general, wreak havoc 'n destruction a-plenty on 'Holy Mutha the Urf' ... din't happen. 21 Dec. 2012 will turn out to be a non-event on the same grand scale.

If anyone's interested, tho', I'm selling a really neat insurance policy that'll protect you from damages incurred by the wrath the 'gods' inflict on 'Holy Mutha' (and, by extension, on you) when that date rolls around. Be sure to take 'before and after' pictures, too, okay? I'll be in Bimini if you need to file a claim ...

You're laughing because I can't read ancient prophecy correctly, aren't you? Although, if I did write a book about it and claimed some kind of calamity, I bet I would make a lot more money. *sigh*

Fear sells regardless of whether it is correct.

well, the magnetic poles will switch, scientists know that will happen, and its the 60,000 year galactic alignment, and how they knew that is beyond me...maybe the aliens told them, and that's when they come back, to rewind the Mayan clock... drinker

It's always a mystery why people get their drawers in a wad over stuff like this when - in this case - it's perfectly clear that what happened is the Mayans just ran out of rock to carve ... duh ...

laugh There's a few different things I'm laughing at - but mostly the fact that this whole 'Mayans predicted calamity' meme just won't die.
