It's not about being honest or sugar coating. It's about having TACT. It goes a long way. I used to justify my remarks by saying it was just being truthful, but mowing people down is not truthful, it's hurtful. No reason to do that. Ever. I think it's learning to delve out honesty with kindness. That's a huge part of life. Being kind.
