heard a radio show the other day & they were talking to
2 "experts" about online dating...they said that when men fill
out preferences for who they want to meet that if they just select
ANY across the board for height, weight, income, race, etc....
that it is a red flag for women that are looking for men...
by just selecting any that means men are really just looking for sex...
Can this be true?.Is that a red flag?.....I've never considered that
before...

hummm never thought of that before myself..... i think by talking to
them ya can pretty much tell..... then after ya meet them... other than
that i would just think they are up to talking to anyone... nothing
wrong with meeting a bunch of friends along the way... also i think
would mean... that they are looking for one who may be special
inside..... that thay arent just out for looks...

I would feel that if some men do that, then it means that they are not
too picky. I put "any" across it because i know everyone is different,
and instead of being too picky, I will talk to anyone/ Who knows, maybe
one of them will be the "one".

I don't think so I think it shows they are open.....rather than closed
minded....Some people don't have a list of must haves!!!!!!!

Most guys have likes and dislikes....you can usually tell by a
conversation or two if they are only after sex. Plus it can be kinda
aggravating to fill in all those boxes!

Really...Well people may have their preferences BUT I don't thin leaving
it open means JUST sex either...That's how I have always left my
profiles...It's what's inside that counts for me and the rest is moot if
I find the right person...I'm hardly a sex fiend!!!!!!!

yea on 1 of the other sites I'm on they set up a compatablity
test. that they charge big bucks for on a couple pay sites. so I took
it, I don't think any of it matches me.

yea I only pick a few things the rest is any. I don't want somebody
shorter than me if their skinny, some religions, some race & no married
or seperated..

I don't know about the guys, but I pick any across the board. I just
want to see the entire playing field first. It's like moving into a new
town. You don't just want to see a particular house or apartment, you
want to know where it sits in the scheme of things.

Here's something I did find a few doing. From another site of course.
If I did not originally entered ANY in all the fields, I would never
have know this, but :

I saw a person's profile, saw they had listed ANY in all the fields for
a perspective mate. Noted that they had almost no other personal
information, barely even a free hand description of themselves. After
a time, that person contacted me saying I was their perfect match. When
I looked at the profile, I remembered the picture, but all the sudden
everything on their profile was indeed, way too perfect a match to be
believed.

You would be surprised how many men just want SEX. I'm talking men of
all ages. I belong to other dating sites and I would be a rich
woman...if I had sex with all these IDIOTS. You know it's bad when the
first email you get from them...they want to know if you "swallow"??
