In the 3 years I have been here I have dated 3 guys from this site. All lived far away. That's the main problem with meeting people online. Distance. frown

Don't worry, I'm moving there. smooched

This does not make sense and I find it so strange... are profile pictures fake?

I keep hearing people from USA on Mingle2 are miles apart thus making dating more challenging.

While, I see one other Canadian female who said hi to me and no Canadian men yet in the forums that I am aware of. However when I search, for men in the city I live, I find there are around 15 or so. One of the twelve I wrote to, responds and says he would like to date. We have yet to date for I was truly sick when I was to go out on a date with him but came down with the flu. I said I was sick and if we could meet when I was well. I wrote twice since I recovered however does not respond to my emails???

All of the other men I had emailed who are to be supposedly living in the city I am, not one responds. Does this site posts pictures up with profiles and there is actually no person there? This is what it seems like.

For how come in the USA, and almost everyone in the forums is from the USA but is finding they live so far away for dating. How could it be, there are more than a dozen around me in the same city and no Canadian men in the forums? You would think my odds to date would be good?

It is just so strange when I look at the numbers. I have had three men wanting though long distance relationships but I do not trust doing that kind of thing not knowing who is actually on the other side, what is their true motive preferring to date personally in getting to know someone. I do not like "sight unseen" correspondence, to me not a safe endeavor.

Do you think the site might be using fake profiles to attract people to this dating site?

People create profiles, forget about them and move on to other websites or start dating someone else or give up on dating or whatever. I'm sorry you aren't finding anyone, but it's a free site, you can contact anyone for free, so what purpose would they have for creating fake profiles? That seems like very bad inductive reasoning to me.

As for distance, I'm kind of happy about the distance. Well, the fact that I already wanted to move out of the cold and into a place that is warmer and she lives someplace warmer. So it works for me. Yeah, it's hard right now being apart, but we have email and texting and phone conversations to keep us close.

You are right and bring up a good point, it is a free site and people come and go. Did not think of that to take it into consideration. Thanks to you, I can dismiss those thoughts of fake profiles.

Well glad things are working out for you. Thanks for sharing Spirdercmb.

<--- is being chased by white guys from here!

I love white guys, but yeah, I am only up for friends now, He found me and I am very happy with that <3 ... Distance sucks but technology makes everything possible, you just have to believe.

You don't need to find him, wait until he comes to you - when you never expect it. Good luck to you friend flowers

See, this is my take on things. The different between USA and Canada, is just like anything else. You meet someone online, you click very well, but guess what, you live like 300 miles from them, sometimes farther. What's the point? I don't do long distance relationships anymore, and most people don't either these days (from what I've seen). Hell, if the woman doesn't live like 50 miles away from me I'll throw it out the window. I've became a picky S.O.B. in the last 2 years. I realize I'll probably be alone the rest of my life, but hey, if any woman is going to be a repeat of everyone else I've been with, that's perfectly with me. I'm here mostly for friends and forums. I do NOT expect to meet, as in person, anyone from here. I'm too different for 99.9% of females. I'd be rejected in a second. I come and go on here, I don't have much of a life, but of what I do have, I'm not out looking for someone 24/7.
