I have left the country ... 7 hour drives, 6 hour flights ... and I don't regret them...

I'll still visit friends but romantically speaking ...I think my traveling days are done ... I want to be close enough to hold on a regular basis.

I would leave the US for you....love flowerforyou

If I was planning a vacation and it fit in ... fine ...
but just to go meet someone ...
no different than a job ... commuting distance.

I need to be able to see/meet someone on a regular basis that allows us to take turns on who travels and still get in those weekly snuggles and other activities.

I know of some people who had success moving across the globe to meet someone although I might if there was a good supply of gold in the country. That's just me!

Well...after she returned to Michigan...I saw a road sign that said
138 Miles to.............
So I told her thats how close she was now.
Turned out to be 150 miles...2.5 hrs.
Did that for more than a few months.

Worth every mile.

Would I travel out of the country just to meet someone from here? No. As others have said, I'd be happy to meet up with others while traveling, though.

I have traveled out of state to meet people, though and have no regrets about that.

I'm mostly into locals, but I dont think 45 minutes is too far, anything over that, i would not do. Call me crazy butl eaving the country to meet a stranger who could also murder me, or be some 15 year boy, NO THANKS< not worth the finances or the embarrassment. I say why cant they come to me if they are legit. I do hear of a lot of stories from people meeting internationally. But I got family here as well. How would that work??

Last year a friend of mine traveled to Australia to meet the guy she was talking to on a chat site.. Now I have another friend going to Romania to meet the 24 year old she is talking to and she is almost 40... When she gets there they are going to get married... I asked her so soon after y'all meet? She said we we've been together for a year.. In all reality no they have only been talking for a year.... Then there is my friend who went to russia to find a woman..

Would you go to another country to meet someone??

I'm not a fan of LDRs. Much less of leaving the COUNTRY! ahahaha More than likely if I/he have to take a train or a plane; it's a deal breaker! An hour or so drive may be do able.

RE: 24 yr old & 40 yr old? Never met and getting married?!!!surprised
