The movie helped me so much to fight the nothing and the emptiness. It was cool to put a face to it like in the movie. I watched Morla and thought maybe my life wasn't so bad. But then it was like nothing phased Morla. I thought I want to be like that. I mean to be comfortable in a dismal swamp. Wow. That is something.

What was it about the sequel that you didn't like? Everything. Bad continuity from the first film. Bastian is now portrayed as a total moron. Felt extremely dumbed down for kids. Part 3- Beyond bad continuity from the previous films. Bad character design(Falkor ugh)...Even more characters have become morons. Both sequels changed the characters personalities, I didn't feel that any care was put into the sequels. And the "Child-like Empress" kept getting older- she was in her 20's in part 3. |

I love the original movie. The sequels didn't live up to the first one, though.

Of course it deserves a better sequel, the first movie was only the first half of the book, part 2 took elements from the second half then went in a whole different direction. Part 3 had nothing to do with the book. |
