Hi yall how are ya? I got a question for you all. If you meet a guy
online and he lives out of state when should he ask you for your
telephone number? I kinda left this one in his court. I did not want to
seem as if I was rushing him. But I want him to ask it's been two months
now. Tell me what you think.

just be honest with him. Tell him you want to talk on the phone.

depends on your online conversations.
if they last a long time- sooner.
i am kind of shy, so i do not rush it
because the more i talk to someone
online the more i feel comfortable with them
and it will make a phone conversation
easier.

Is the fact that he hasn't asked one of those warning signs that he is
hiding something from me?

maybe, but not necessarily so
maybe he is trying to be a gentleman

2 months on line only? I may not last that long. But everyone is
different.

Thanks for the advice it helps to be able to talk about these kinds of
things before I let my mind run wild.

julie...

It all depends on how YOU feel. I know I much prefer to talk on the
phone. To me....as nice as online chatting can be with IM's and
such...there is nothing like the sound of a man's voice....to see how
deep it is...how sexy it is. You know what I mean. Always....be safe

Maybe he just does not want to seem pushy. Talk to him about it, if you
guys have talked that long I am sure that you have an honest
relationship by now. So there should be no harm in it.

May not want to be pushy. But I gave my number to my special someone
within the first month and 1/2. And he is still calling me.

He didn't think I was pushy at all.

Oh wait, he likes pushy women.laugh

He sounds like a sensible man to me !
I,d never ask a women online for her phone number, I,d give her my
number and ask her to call me, but if she wants to have a phone chat
with me she had better initiate the number exchange.

Depends to me on how comfortable you are chatting with him. I have
talked to several people on line and over the phone. I have been
chatting with this one guy for almost a year and asked if he would like
to call but he is just not ready and thats fine with me. What ever both
of you are comfortable with is what is important.

just ask him what he thinks....see if you thinks he is hiding something
or doesn't want to be pushy...it could be that he is really shy, if you
think that's the case let him know it's ok to be nervous and make things
comfortable for him...that's just my opinion

I agree, I would not ask for her number, I would give her mine, then
take it from there
