depending on the circumstances of the break up, I think you might be able to see that person again, as you did when things were still good, when all you saw were the excellent qualities in that person..

resentment can blind you..and make you forget why you fell in love with that person to begin with.

It's possible. Makes you realize how much you cared ... how much love you had ... makes you realize what you once had .. all because you had to let go and/or learn to let go.

given your ex is the mother of your children, you will always love her for that and it may even grow thru the years. but it is a different kind of love. now, ask yourself, am i still "in love" with my ex? should that be the case, you will really have to do some soul searching as to what you want in a relationship with her. good luck.

in my experience, 'missing' someone is a more powerful feeling than 'having' them. i could be crazy, tho

I appreciate the input guys

To Smokey , nope i'm not in love with her anymore

And not trying to go back to what it was years ago

The only thing we have is friendship and we work together

For our kids.

I love that song

I think love sometimes changes dresses. It is no longer 'romantic' but it is still love.

And ... I do believe ... that sometimes it takes losing something before you recognize how much it meant to you. Humans take things and people for granted sometimes.

We grow, we learn ... we do things differently next time ... it is life ...

I have known a few people who broke up with someone, were apart from them for awhile, and then got back together. Weird as it seems, time and living life can make you want to have someone back. Or, it can also make you realize how much better off you are without them.

I suppose it is possible romeo, but IME usually the attempts to rekindle just remind us why we broke it off in the first place. On some rare occasions it works I guess, or so I have heard.

I think what we love are the good memories where they exist, and when we are alone and need someone it is easy to remember the comfort of having a partner to share one's life - but that is not the same as being in love

Hummmm call me a hard *** love is not something I'm feeling for them once they are gone....

I do still care what happens to them for they did touch a part of my life.............but to love them more when they are gone..Not me...noway

I dunno, but you could either ask a bunch of strangers, or tell this woman how you feel.

I'm guessing this is just a phase, and you'd never tell her this, so in time..., "bleh, bleh..., bleh, bleh, bleh."

... indifferent

No woman to tell how i feel , just wanted to read opinions about the subject , that's all , thanks man. drinker

My opinion - You obviously are still in love with this woman. You CAN tell her, I mean you said she was the mother of your kids. Don't give me the "there's no woman" crap. You know how to get a hold of her. Even though I don't have kids, I know that is a strong bond. Something very hard to break.

I mean at this point, what do you have to lose?!

She'll either have the same feelings as you, or she wont. At least you'll know, that is if you even try to know.
