so im up here in ohio helping out my family,my cousin has surgery on her foot and will need help watching her kid and ill be driving her around and just basically being a live in nanny and chauffeur for the next month or so..

and even though i love my cousin kid to death and hes the cutest thing in the world it really made me realize that i dont want kids anytime soon im not even sure if i want them ever right now..and even though my cousin still lives with her parents i have an even bigger respect and appreciation for all the single mothers.

so to all the single mothers out there doing it by yourself with out the father or even with or with out family, your amazing and you freaking rock!flowerforyou

Yep, my sister recently became a single mom. It aint no picnic. I help when I can (which aint that often since she lives in Dallas)

But even through all the stress and a complete lack of time for herself...she is a good mama to her ugly kid.

That's one of the beautiful things about us single mommies...we love our ugly children unconditionally.

A mother is always there.
Regardless if she is far or near.
You're always on her mind.
Never will you be able to find.
Another that loves you so much.
From the first time you felt her touch.
There was no longer any thing to fear.
For she would always be there to wipe each tear.

Regardless single or not there is nothing like the love of a mother. For those that have one you can still talk to never let time go by that you don't let her know how much you think of her....flowerforyou

Its the toughest job there is. Exhausting. No break from the spouse, cuz there is none. Unappreciated by most.

Reward is in the smile of the wonderful person that came from your efforts and sacrifices...assuming youre good at it.

Single parent, lets say tho, rather than single mom.

He got a point.

My biological womb donor split when I was 6 months old. Dad had to quit his job in 1968 to raise me and my 5 year old brother and had to teach himself auto painting/sewing/upholstery/martial arts....anything he could do at the house to make money cause there were no daycares...he couldnt afford babysitters and even when we went to school he still had to be there when we got home.

My dad was a great mom!

My bad for single fathers actually to me have a harder time then the single women do. So actually kudos to both men/women that are single parents.....bigsmile

Thank you!
That made me happy!
Single dads deserve acknowledgement too though.

I hear you Krupa...... my dad raised my brother from the time he was 5 and I was 15 months old. My mother left this world but not on her own... So we learned to help out real early in life..... Dad's do rock1!!!!
