Topic: A question of God and existance

Some time ago I had a fear. I won't get into what the fear was because it's not important and has little to nothing to do with my question.

This fear bothered me so that I had to take my mind off if it. But to think of? What could be more scary than to be erased from exisistance?
So for a long long time I prayed to almighty God that I would never be created in the womb to begin with if I did certain things. Such as read a book or play a video game. As such I cannot play any video game that I own save for a few Or read any of my beloved books save for a few. When I buy new one's I somethimes pray the prayer and am forced to drop them.
I asked some very spiritual people about this and they say "God does not do this" To which I respond "Prove it" They never can. They say "No one in the bible was ever erased" I say to this "They could have been. That's why you never read about them! They got erased and therefor never existed! So they could not be included in the book"

The question I ask here is: Will my prayer of being erased from existance be answered? Or am I free to do what I please? Will Almighty God in his infinite wisdom erase anyone? If they ask I mean? If anyone can answer this one that would be wonderfull!

Now I see how this can be taken as a joke. It's not. And by God I mean the one in the bible. I say this to prevent any confusion. I would also ask for proof, if anyone chooses to answer this. Thank you in advance!

I can't answer for God or anyone else for that matter but I can ask one question...

Why would anyone want to be erased from existence? Yes I know some people have had it rough, I myself have had it pretty bad, but I would take this bad life over never having existed at all.

The people I have met and loved, the impact I have made on others and the impact they have made on me, I am glad to have lived even with the bad.

As for the question, I would hope that God would ask that same question. I doubt he would actually erase someone but as I can't prove it (I can't even prove he exists.) I will have to go on the idea that life is precious and shouldn't be erased, after all we only get one life. (well if you don't include the afterlife that is)

The only way to be "erased" from existence is to have not done good enough to receive eternal life in heaven. There is no eternal punishment in hell or anything of such. You either receive the gift of heaven and eternal life or you just plainly cease to exist.

If you truly meant it with all your heart when you prayed without doubt, then yes it will be answered. But may I ask why you wouldn't want to go to heaven? Why wouldn't you want to spend eternity with your family and loved ones?

Honestly I would want to go to heaven. What I meant by non exsistance is to never be created in the first place.

If you do nothing /neither good or bad/ or you live in hatred and
fears , then God has heard your prayers and granted them - you
has erased yourself from existence . Physical existence doesn't mean you are alive .

What could be more scary than to be erased from exisistance?

To be tortured relentlessly for all of eternity with no mercy and with no hope of ever being freed from the horror.

This is why those dastardly Christians invented the concept of hell. They knew that a gift of eternal life wasn't going to be enough. They had to toss in an extreme fear tactic on top of that. Because there are indeed quite a few people who have no fear of simply being erased from existence.

So they had to make it seem like there was a fate even more horrible than that. Thus there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth, and eternally burning in a lake of fire. You'll WISH that you could simply cease to exist, but to no avail. pitchfork

That's how much God will hate you if you refuse to worship the Christians. devil

I'd love to say you're welcome.

But I afraid I'm not the original painter of that scene. flowerforyou

Getting back to your original question:

The question I ask here is: Will my prayer of being erased from existance be answered? Or am I free to do what I please? Will Almighty God in his infinite wisdom erase anyone? If they ask I mean? If anyone can answer this one that would be wonderfull!

I personally don't believe that we are separate from God. In fact, it is the illusion of being separate that might cause you to feel like you'd like to be erased.

Once you realize that your true nature is divine, then you no longer feel any need to be erased, and no longer have any fear of being erased. You realize that time is an illusion to begin with. There is no time in which you can not exist. flowerforyou

I'm not telling you your wrong here abra. No I've quit that job and now talk on other forums.

In response to what you say here I did not do this because I felt any need to be erased.

I had a fear that I believed I could do nothing about. Which in my eyes made the fear inescapable. As in I could do nothing to prevent it.
The more I thought on this fear the more depressed I got until I thought the only way out was death.
To counteract this depresion and despair I invented this prayer to be erased. That way I would obsess on the fear and not the original problem. Was this the right thing to do? No obviously not.

Once again abra I'm not caling you wrong. I'm just trying to make you understand the story better. That's all.

Thanks for trying anyways! That's probably the best advice I've ever gotten. From anyone. Ever. No I'm not trying to butter you up!

There's no fear tactic there. Just you for example. You know alot of what's in the bible generally. Do you fear burning in the lake of fire? No you do not. Same with others. It has NOTHING to do with fearing people into believing. Cause obviously that wouldn't work even if it was the case. When you tell your child "clean your room or you're not going out with your friends later on today" is the same we have been told in the bible by our father. Obey or there's a consequence. That is all my friend. No fear tactics or anything of such, only informing us of the consequence of disobedience. Even as a Christian, we do not KNOW who will go to heaven or who will not. That will all be decided on judgement day. Takes both faith and works to enter into heaven, faith without works is dead.
