OK
So it doesn't say spit. That was a side question to you because you claimed pacifism.

But it does say,

The judge told Clements the slaying wasn't about a dog urinating on a lawn, but "about your reaction ... to being yelled at, pushed and punched in the face by a 23-year-old man," the Tribune reported.

Having repeatedly earned University Park's lawn upkeep award, Clements often verbally harassed anyone who stepped near or on his precious grass, neighbors said.

Sounds to me like the guy had a problem and wasn't very well liked in the neighborhood. He probably asked for it.
Can you imagine what he'll be like now? Probation? Come on!

the whole thing started by the dog pissing on his lawn, so it was the root cause of it, regardless of what some idiot judge says...

than perhaps they should put the dog to sleep
or not permit the owner to have dogs again, if he cant keep them from soiling others properties

but wait, I guess the latter was achieved after all

bullseye!!...seriously

I get where you are coming from though,,,

I am just seeing a partiality towards seniors much the way many tend to see partiality towards females

take out of the story Clemons and replace it with a female and see how differently you feel

no EXCUSE to hit a woman ever? remember,? bait or not?

I kind of feel that way about old people, although I can RELATE to losing it, I dont feel losing it makes one a terrible person but I do think losing it leads to worse things that arent worth it,,,

like death

I dont think Chris Brown is awful, but I would also not have felt Rihanna was bad or unreasonable had she shot him

they are both lucky it ended where it did, and these two werent so lucky

as a female, I have to say that I have, but

I feel the same way about senior citizens that you do about females,,,who are usually much more fragile than AGE EQUIVALENT females

And while we are at it we should just kill all the squirells and rabbits too.
I mean a bunny might go crap on his lawn. LOL
And what about the bird's involuntary defication as they fly over his lawn?
Should we kill all birds?

Just because you have a gun does not relieve you of the responsibility of reasonable force in protecting your self.

You don't shoot a man for punching you and you don't go screaming at people who can whoop your arse.
That's what civil courts are for.

i agree... they were both at fault for acting stupid, and neither of them got what they deserved... think of the younger guys kids, they do not realize their dad was acting stupid, they just know he is dead, shot by a neighbor...

I can just see the guy.
Having to take the dog for its walk,
a chore he hates but does because,
well,
the same reason he takes out the trash.

Then dad never comes home.
Soon his wife sees blue lights down the street a bit.
Then, whats that?
Oh its fluffy, scartching at the door,
alone.

But,,,,
oh the dread begins to build.
The lights,
the dog, alone,,,,,,,,

Tears begin to flow,
growing worse as the children join mom crying,
they don't understand yet but cry just the same.

Knock, knock, knock,,

A Policeman is at the door,,,tears tears tears scared waving

But no matter who or what animal did whatever on his lawn, the real issue here, is that Funches physically attacked the guy, and the guy acted in self defense even after letting his attacker know that he was armed!!

Funches was trying to play Mr. Bigshot, probably had the typical young person's attitude in full effect, and thought he would get away with it.

Funches hit him once,
and then just stood there.
He didn't physically pursue the attack.

The proper use of reasonable force was not to shoot the neighbor.

I guess if you show a gun people are then suppose to respect you more even if you are acting like an ***.slaphead

Bad choices on both parts but nothing deserved death.

I sure hope they get the shooter some psychological help and unarm him forever
