Finally saw Legion - awesome, creepy movie. I thought it was really good.

Hi, Row! I liked that movie too! It was given a lot of bad rap, mostly because they compared it to Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight and/or The Prophecy, whereas I just appreciated the movie in its own context. Though I have to admit that there were times when I questioned the pacing of their character development. It had HUGE potential, but somehow fell short of it. I guess there were just too many things left for speculation. Still, I enjoyed the film enough to buy my own copy. bigsmile

Oh, and a bit of trivia! The tattoos on Micheal (and later Jeep) are Enochian, a language supposedly of the angels as recorded by John Dee and his seer Edward Kelley in the late 16th century, which they claimed was revealed to them by angels.

Hey Red! You give MUCH better movie reviews then I do!
I agree, it had huge potential to be epic, but wasn't. It could have been great rather than good.
The fight scene between Michael and Gabriel was intense.
I didn't know that bit of trivia about the Enochian language! That's cool. And I liked how Jeep loved Charlie and the baby on blind faith. Good movie!

Oooh, yes! I loved that scene too! I thought their wings were so cool! bigsmile

How was Tron and Black Swan? I want to see those =D
tron was worth watching just for the visuals. watch it in full-on 3D, though...it's like stepping into another world, even if the plot's not the greatest.

black swan was...quite original. disturbing on some level...i recommend it.

i watched the tourist yesterday...ick.

Terror In The Jungle '68. When a movie has a nun falling out of a plane, you know you're in for a treat! Hilariously bad jungle adventure/missing child flick. A boy who was on his way to see his mom in Peru is the only survivor of a plane crash in the Amazon...he is soon found by a tribe of headhunters who worship him due to his blond hair...but one of the headhunters wants him dead. Meanwhile the boy's father searches for him. May be the forerunner to Calvin and Hobbes, as the boy's stuffed tiger comes alive to defend him against the headhunter.

tron is perfectly viewable by itself. no need to see the original first.

Savage Water 1979- Rare slasher-type flick. Yet another film where I think I'm one of the few who enjoys it. The dialogue is hilarious(intentionally and unintentionally) Group of people on a river raft trip find out one of them is a killer.

Screams Of A Winter Night 1979, Rare anthology flick. Sadly forgotten. Proves you don't need a large budget to make a creepy movie. Group of friends gather at a cabin and tell spooky stories. The second story I always find creepy...the ending is very Blair Witchian. The first story is based on an Urban Legend, which was later used in the more recent Campfire Tales(the 1997 one not the 1991 one).

Sadly these films will probably never see a DVD release, if Code Red DVD was still making new DVD's these films would have been perfect.
