How was Tron and Black Swan? I want to see those =D
tron was worth watching just for the visuals. watch it in full-on 3D, though...it's like stepping into another world, even if the plot's not the greatest.

black swan was...quite original. disturbing on some level...i recommend it.

i watched the tourist yesterday...ick.

I think Depp is best in roles he can 'relate' to, particularly the eccentric types and with actors and directors he is comfortable with

this film was probably too much of a stretch in terms of not only the type of character he was to portray but also the actors he had to work and CREATE chemistry with(he usually is working with those he already has chemistry with)

I havent seen Tron, but loved the original

Black Swan was a severe disappointment, not at all what the previews had me expecting, and not really a discernable plot or story line,,,,,

I dont personally recommend it, but everyone has different taste

Watched a few movies over the weekend.

MACHETE: You gotta love Robert Rodriguez. Dude makes movies his way. Yeah, Alba is hot. Michelle Rodriguez is F'n hot. Hell. Lindsay Lohan is hot too. Don Johnson playing the crazed border patrol dude was insane. I loved it! Seagal disappointed me, but I can forgive him. Least he wasn't in the film much. It's a film that is good fun.

THE OTHER GUYS: Ok. It is official. When Ferrel and McKay team up to do a movie, it just flat out works. McKay wrote and directed Anchorman, Talledega Nights with Ferrel in the lead. And, the two teamed up again for a hilarious gem. Mark Whalberg was great in this! Hell, the entire cast was spot on. Steve Coogan is underrated. Movie is a riot. You will love it when Ferrel goes all gangsta!

black swan is about the onset of schizophrenia, seen through the eyes of the one suffering.

i love movies that can surprise me. they'll win awards for that one.

------------------------------------

watched "the last exorcism" two nights ago. absolutely horrible.

watched "case 39" as well...not horrible. not great, but not bad, either.

watched "season of the witch" yesterday. not really impressed. i enjoyed it, but didn't love it.

Satan's Blade 1984- Super cheesy slasher about a knife that possesses people and turns them into a killer....though I'm not clear if it is Satan, or an old guy that lives at the bottom of the lake...huh?

Westworld 1973- Yet another classic getting remade. Before Michael Meyers...before Jason Vorhees...there was Yul Brynner. The first movie to use CGI(used for when we saw through Yul's eyes)

Re watched the 2010 Piranha remake. Still love it. It doesn't try to be anything more than what it is...plus gratuitous gore/violence, gratuitous nudity, and gratuitous fish. The CGI is good, and as usual KNB rocks with their gore effects.
