As in real life, use your judgement and common sense. Some can be real charmers, but are in truth vile inside. Good luck. :)

sometimes judgment is not that effective if the person knows how to hide his true colors. Most of the time you have already invested time, emotion and so frustrating when you discovered the truth.

I know. It is how we gain perspective, yes? There are no guarantees, dear. We live, we love, we learn. Hopefully. :)

well this is how the internet can twist your perspective. I jsut assume all the mail I get is from scammers until I find out otherwise. Then I'm not disappointed - a little backwards, I know. But that doesn't include forum regulars - most likely they (we) are fine

OP, any lengthy romantic contact from a complete stranger should be suspect - in real life it would be - no different on here

Online communication is rather time consuming, ladyvenus. If it is something too good to be true and coming from someone you haven't known well yet, it is most probably a scammer's make. You have to be always on guard - ask smart leading questions and be very keen into the details of information they provide you. Most especially, do not let your intuition be daunted by your emotions.

Nice seeing you around flowerforyou

there is not a great way to tell...make sure they have more than one pic and if they try to get you to buy something, those are some possible ways of knowing.

THIS IS THE NET,,and for those reasons,,,MANY HERE have LOST MUCH,,,and we shall never get back all that we gave,,,we can only TRY to put it aside and go forward..

As to my BEST GUESSES,,there is NO-WAY to know someones TRUTH except through KNOWING THEIR LIE...

So IF they never give you a lie that you know is one,,then they can only be perceived as thruths...

I DO have some TRICKS upmy sleve that MIGHT give them away depending on their lives???

If ya want just email me and I'll tell ya...?

You are bound to come across this plenty of times since you're actively dating. It happens, and it's very frustrating. flowerforyou

Don't believe everything you're told. Use common sense and ask questions. Always go with your gut feeling.

If it's too much right now, take a break from dating.

It's either that or don't date anyone to avoid getting hurt. ohwell

I am in that business, actually, tracing and tracking down scammy people as commissioned by their prospective future lovers.

Please end a cheque for ten thousand dollars, and a valid Pilipino passport, and I will find out for you if your boyfriend is who he says he is, or if he exists even in the first place.

You'd be a millionaire if you had a business like that here in China. There are more "scammy" people here (at least where I'm at) then fingers or toes combined.

If you think they might be a scammer, simply hit the report user button and select that option. That way he can be checked out by administration. If you then see his account is deactivated-chances are he was. And the person never knows. It's the easiest way to find out.

do you mean member here whose account is deactivated some are already banned? or they just simply quit.
