What is the truth in palmistry?
There must be some biological reasons of lines in our palms.
But,is there really our future written in those lines?
Or a palmist just exploits our weakness.explode

any kind of fortune telling is based on exploiting the weak... one of my favorite X-files episodes was a man going around killing fortune tellers, and right before he killed them, he would ask them why they didn't know it was going to happen... then the one that did know was not in the business of telling fortunes, he did just help people out...

It is not a scam.

A really good palm reader (there are not many) can look at your palm and can know that you are married to a serviceman and can even tell what rank he is. (Or so they say.)

A person with a paralyzed arm will have little or no markings.

I studied it for a few years. I could see on my palm before I was married the first time, that I would be married twice. Imagine how I felt getting married the first time. I was thinking, "Okay this is my first X-husband..."

But even with palmistry that tells about your future, you still can be the master of your fate. If you do anything that will change your future, the lines on your palms will change.

We have lines in our palms because we flex our palms. The conditions of our palms - including the thickness, shape, and placement of our callouses can tell a great deal about our activities. Palmist can use this information, as well as other information (the kind of clothes/shows we wear, wear patterns and markings, amount and placement of sun exposure, and how we nonverbally (or verbally) react to mention of different topics and ideas) to infer an astounding amount of information about a person. This doesn't require magic, nor does it validate the idea that our future is written in our palms.

whatever... i relate that as the same as reading tea leaves, or throwing bones around... as long as the person wants to hear it, they are right in what they say....

Exactly what is fate?

to me, it's the path that happens that you have no control over... if you control your path, it is no longer fate.

Don't you chose what path to walk? To a certain extent, don't you have control of your own choices?

The lines on are hands are not there by accident.....they are different and unique to each of us. There is much truth in palmistry. As anything else they should be used for guidance.
Nothing is set in stone....yes, i believe we have more control over our lives then most understand.

just cause you don't see anyone reading them doesn't mean it isn't being done...

of course... but every choice has it's consequences, good or bad.. if you flip a coin to see what path to choose, that would be fate, while making a headstrong choice, looking at the options and consequences is not...

Apparently finger prints and in extension the lines in your palm are lines that develop as we develop and grow. Essentially growth lines.

Really no different and no more poignant then any other wrinkle.
