Hummm lets see if I had worked on a project from the heart for a friend and they just completely stopped talking to me what would I do. Once it was finished I would wrap it up and store it then I would call them and say hey we have not talked for a while was wondering what was going on. I would precede to tell them the project was done and ask them when we could get together to give it to them? Therefore leaving it in their court after I have put my foot forward first.  That way I lived up to my promise it is up to them to come pick it up. At times friends quit talking to each other due to other things in life and we should not let our feelings get hurt cause life has taken some down a different road. Yes |

Absolutely. This isn't even a question. This is about finding out who will find an excuse to not honor thier word. I have done alot of art and I understand this question completely. I have had work that has awaited an owner who never even bothered to show up to claim it. (I am talking about years) This ain't about them B. The real question is...do you make a promise and keep your word even when they turn out to not be worth the promise that you have made? |

I guess I should have probably have read past the original post. Now, I feel like Samuel L. Jackson is about to whip my @$$. I am glad you sent the work to that ungratefult tw@t.
It shows your real character. (which is good) P.S. The rest of you idiots need to ease the hell up. I worked all day, got stoned, rolled some cigarettes and showered...read an original post and responded....Don't hate me cause I answered the original topic before I read everyone elses crap. I will give others the same benefit of the doubt. (When I say "The rest of you idiots"...I am including you B. ) give us a chance to soak in the situation without all the pressure. If it takes a friend ten years to finish a painting for me, it says to me I am not that important to her. So I blow her off, and would no longer want the pic anyway, so NO, dont bother.. NO. Whoa.... I disagree completely. My paintings are once in a life time. I do my work in tiny dots and I do badassed work. My quickies take a long time. If someone ain't willing to wait for a one of a kind that no one else has and cannot be counterfieted...they SHOULDN'T get the painting but...but, my dumbass honors my word. And people have waited years. Art flows and it CANNOT BE FORCED. If you ain't willing to wait. You deserve to NEVER get one.

If you were asked to showcase your art at a gallery and you had to show 30 pieces would you wait ten years to complete your project. NO. After 10 years I don't see the point of showing it at all. No point in showing 10-year old art? Close down every Art gallery and museum in the world.  |
