On June 28, 2007 the Interior Department took the American bald eagle off the Endangered Species List. The bald eagle will still be protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. The Bald Eagle Protection Act prohibits the take, transport, sale, barter, trade, import and export, and possession of eagles, making it illegal for anyone to collect eagles and eagle parts, nests, or eggs without a permit I wouldn't advise shooting one

Happily...I am the last remaining Krupalope outside of captivity. I am freakin Majestic! If not...I would be this...

We have them here in Ohio now, not far from where I live.. They are very majestic!!

I would think that carnivorous bird would have a gamey taste but it would probably be good smoked or deep fried.

The protection does not extend into forbidding the shooting of them. *read your list. It looks like the eagles are people too: Freedom of assembly, of religion, etc. etc., except eagles can be shot with no reprecussions. Then will come Wux vs. Doe, when a simple eagle would not give up her airspace to the misappropriation for jet fighter testing. The rest will be history.
