Ok so last night I paid a sitter and then GOT STOOD UP, for the first time ever in my life. WOW. When I tried to call to sort it out, he declined my phone calls but continued to text me?? CANT you say it to my face!!!!! I was pissed, but not heartbroken being it was a person i just met locally and do not really know...however i know one thing for sure---HE BLEW IT!

And yet he texts to say sorry, several times....A_HOLE

I havent received any texts from him this morning..but last night after he flaked. I dont get why a guy would schedule a date if they dont want one, that is what gets me. He found me, asked me out, i agreed. . . I had nothing to do with it...other to go along with the plan he set in place. I mean it just sux when you do your hair and make up, hire a sitter, and frankly i wasnt that into hoping it was going to be some great experience, I thought it should be fun, get a night out, and whatever happens-we will at least just have some drinks and have a good time, even if i get there and he is not that attractive in person, I was still willing to have a good time and relax.

Has anyone here ever stood someone up? Why did you? be honest?

NYE = New Years Eve. I was stood up by someone on NYE. Then a couple months later by someone else.

we textd and i say Im on my way, he say where r u? I said I was like 2 minutes away, he say okay. . . (doesnt mention a thing then)

I get there and say where are you? he say Im running 5 minutes late, I'll be there in about 5-10 mins. SO i say okay.

Then I dont like waiting round on a corner like a streethooker. I text and say where r u? then he say lets postpone it....


How do you go from I'll be there in 5 minutes to postpone when I say I pay $40 for a sitter to meet you......then he say he has to go help his friend....I say Im gonna call you, cuz at this point we are just txting....so he decline my phone call!!!! then keep texting sorry, with sad face...my friend needs me, he in trouble...

Yeah...thats effed up. to let you get all the way out there then post pone it. I'd find and him and tell him to his face how much of a bytch he is. But thats how I deal with things....lol.

he is also KB and I thought we had stuff in common based on our previous communications, so i dont get it.

In my own opinion, i think he was in one of the bars downtown waiting for me to get down there and met some hagar chic and probably just got caught up and blew me off....I could have walked into a particular spot i think he may have been in but I am not that desperate nor crude to waste my time on a stranger!

but he had wanted to meet earlier at a club/bar and i thnk he was prob there already drunk and mixed up with some fake asz who will probably end up phuking him in another hour if he stuck around...

I had told him I didnt want to meet him there...(earlier in the day)

That's pretty shytty. As much as it sucks to be stood up, at least you found out he was like that right away.

hah. I never got to tell the guy who stood me up on NYE anything to his face, but he did get in touch with me later on and tried to apologize. I told him what an assshole he was and all he did was try to apologize and want me to give him another chance. No way.

yay, as far as i am concerned. . . you had one chance and you blew it...does it look like i have a hard time getting dates...cuz I dont.

Im not going to go off, because I am local and I also work down there. He can go on being lonely though..I am sure he will see me around plenty, and let it be a constant reminder of what he will never have...

who knows though, i may change my tune if I do bump into him in person, i may have some things to say to his face...LOL.

Maybe this is why i tend to be attracted to all the guys on the east coast, I think have some subconscious protection wall up and I know they cant hurt me because realistically we will never meet....

Can't say that I have been stood up nor have I ever done it to anyone else.....

But.........one thing for sure if they do it once they will not have the second chance to do it only way I would make plans with them again is if they had one hell of and excuse and could prove it lmao....

Some guys are just jerks. There's no reason to stand people up. If there was actually a good reason to not show up and to reschedule, he should have told you before he did.. and not in the way he did.

but MAYBE he actually HAS a relationship, kept hoping he would be able to get away from her for a bit to meet you, but it became too unlikely and he just gave up,,,
