"Through White House Counsel Fred Fielding, Bush declared executive privilege on the documents subpoenaed by the committees. He argued that releasing them would damage the confidential nature of advice given the president. The Judiciary Committee chairmen demanded that the White House explain the decision more fully by Monday. "

executive privilege: Could that mean similar(or exactly like) to a dictatorship. I was hired by the people , but to h-ll with them, I will do as I d___med please. Now the servant, overthrows ,WE THE PEOPLE, who hired him. Let's fire him now!! RECALL !!IMPEACH !! WHAT ever , we need to call him to account, for his errors, war crimes, likely murder, treason, and who knows what else?? We have executive privilege to remove him. We are the BOSS !! We have the best Congress that money can BUY !!!( BRIBED AND BLACKMAILED) And besides there are more of us than there are of him ( THEM)although , I hear that theses guys may have several clones, had them for years. All programed ROBOTS, serving the money masters. What is this executive privilege, WHY SHAME on them, they should be FIRED !!

What are these guys so afraid of? I mean, we all know Bush is nothing but a Daddy's boy screw-up, but these clowns in the White House have done nothing except screw up the country almost to the point of beyond repair, and constantly try to cover their ever-expanding asses. Not allowing these documents to be shown, or witnesses to testify under oath is a slap in the face to the U.S. Constitution. It's no longer enough to see them gone from the White House in 2008(actually Jan 09), but every one of the "inner circle" needs to be brought up on treason charges. It started with fixing a Presidential election(proven), gained speed with an illegal invasion of a sovereign nation that had NOTHING to do with 9-11(proven), and has snowballed into the clusterf*** we're mired in now. I actually feel very sorry for the next President, regardless of party. They're gonna inherit BY FAR the biggest mess in the history of ANY government!

A congressional committee has given the White House until Monday to explain its basis for claiming executive privilege in withholding documents and testimony. Congress also has set a July 18 deadline for the White House to respond to subpoenas in its investigation of the warrantless-wiretapping program approved by President Bush shortly after 9/11.

Both challenges bring the Democratic-led Congress and the White House closer to a constitutional showdown over ...

Is it executive privilege or KING George, or is he Sir George (knighted)or may be his daddy is Sir George. But breaking the law is pushing the executive privilege thing a little. I could see where executive privilege might be all right if he is deciding whether to have chocolate or vanilla ice cream at the white house.
