Thanks for that Bill......and Ron. I am going to look for a cliff to jump from. Sadly, in Minnesota the best I can come up with around here is a high curb resulting in a sprained ankle at best. Off I go then.

Awwww Zap, why so poopy?
Do you honestly believe the US has a monopoly on corrupt politicians? laugh
My comments are directed at politicians world wide, globally, you know, outside of America too! Here in Canada the political scene isn't all that much different than the US so the Socialist comment doesn't mean all that much to me. Unfortunatly Canadians in general are more complacent and possibly even apathetic towards our elected officials. Sad to see because it makes for a boring topic of discussion and gives them a bit too much leniency to do what they want.
Our Prime Minister, Stephen Harper is about as interesting as an old shoe but likely stinks the same. American politics are simply more interesting, more dramatic and they do have an effect on others globally. Don't take it as an attack on yourself or any one individual personally. We're all on this planet together.drinker

yo! Zap...maybe you need to re read my post. i have faith in Americans....

and i have no personal issues with america. dunno where you pulled that from, my trauma's were at the hands of Hezbollah and Serbian soldiers.

America is a world power , with tremendous influence and consequence globally ...when it is corrupt the ripples are wide
and as conscious human beings it is our duty to look at what is what.
when Berlisconi was PM we protested violently as well ... and i am just as vociferous in regards to Human Rights violations and corrupt pharmaceuticals..... you just happen to hear me go off on bush and american policy.... i was active and participated in the WCT's trials of Milosovich and his comrades... i can go off on Lebanese Hezbollah and Israeli and Phalange, and and and ....

but you as a people have the possibility to do something to wake up... these other gov's are bound up in religious contentions but America was once free.....

take her back before she's raped, the assault is bad enough...

I'm amazed at you so-called peace advocates...I'd like to see any of you go over and try to tell the leader of Hamas, Hezbollah,...Go to Afganistan, Bali or the Mandanoa in Phillipines and tell all these Terrorists to just "give peace a Chance" and see if you come back in one "peace"(pun intended)Your problem is you listen to left, socialist proganda too much..Bush is an awesome President..and just because he doesn't toot his own horn...this economy is the best in fifty years dispite what the left will tell you..we have intercepted countless terror plots against our country..many you never hear about..because he has the courage to do what is needed, not what looks good on his political resume.Democrats? interesting that the approval rating for congress is at an all time low of 14%...because they are spineless and purely politically motivated and americans see right trough it.Iraq policy..well war is hell and no one can just follow a perfect game plan..mistakes? yes..but that happens in every war....eg. over 3500 troops were killed in one training exercise for D-Day in one day..thats more then killed in Iraq in 4 years..So don't blame Bush for everything that is wrong with the world..thats a cop out..we need to stand up to Islamic fasists somewhere...better in Iraq then our own streets!

i am not so pessimistic. i see the current administration as a bunch of bumbling doo-doo-heads and change is an election away. as influential as the U.S. may be it is still a cork on the waves. what we are experiencing in global strife has its origin in human nature - could the U.S. be a more positive force? - sure so what. so could the rest of the world outnumbering the pitifully lame U.S. significantly.

so no more boogeymen. change has to come from education. a very painful and expensive education....but we are learning and we'll get it together someday or not.

yes..but what education...kids are learning about how humans are creating global warming..a myth..so how can we expect anyone to learn real solutions when they are being taught socialism and liberalism?

left right left right left right left right....I don't wanna goose step.
Anyone that wants to take rights away is dangerous and shouldn't be running any more than his thumb up his own ass!

Wed 07/18/07 03:03 PM
yes you are right Kid...Pelosi and Reid should put their thumb up there...trying to take our rights away at every turn..trying to Tax us out of our money..not giving us freedom to spend and invest where we want our money to go...using the myth of human global warming to use tax money to put into there silent partnership companys that deal in the new socialist money form..carbon footprints..etc etc... yes I agree the Dems must go...

Demcrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative. They're all the same, towing their own parties line. The one in office just gets to lie, cheat and steal a little easier than the others. Time for some fresh blood and new ideas. Step outside the box and take a look from a different perspective. There may be an independant that makes sense and doesn't do what he/she is told by the rest of the party.
Regaurdless of affiliation, I always count my fingers and check my wallet after shaking hands with any politician.

Kid you are right again..you said ANY politician....meaning even "fresh blood" politicians...they will still be stained with "blood money" anyway you look at it..or they won't get elected..its just the way it is..if you don't have the big corporations giving you money...you won't have enough money to get your name and or campaign off the ground..unless you are already very wealthy..in which case you already have a bias toward big business....so the key is finding a Rep of a party that believes in letting you keep more of your personal and economical freedom EG. less taxes. Not sure how old you are..but back in the early sixties it was very rare to find a home where both parents had to work..the average Fed tax rate was 6%. and there was alot less problems...as the Democrats kept raising taxes over the next 20 years and creating more special programs the social problems got worse because both parents had to go to work just to survive, thereby creating more socially enept people because kids started being raised by child care instead of by their mothers..hence a snowball effect creating a never ending circle of more taxes for more social programs for the "left behind" crowd....yet if they would cut our taxes back to 6% and allow parents the "option" of working I bet most if not all of our education, healthcare and Unwanted child problems would diminish extensively.

I think special interest and lobbyists are more to blame than any one party. This is a problem in the entire western world not just the US. Possibly the entire planet.
If the Democrats are in power, the Republicans are supposed to keep them in check and vice versa. I guess nobody is doing their job in reality. Just keep on blaming the other guy and see where it all ends up.
Blind them all with BS.laugh

How's that local sports franchise?drinker
Seen any good movies lately?drinker

You're right though, I don't trust any of them. Doesn't mean there isn't a good one out there. Just gotta keep your eye on them.

Yeah Kid..its all crazy and your right its not just here its all over..but in a way..its kind of a good thing...countries all over the world are experiencing new found freedoms..from the old soviet empire to some of old dictatorships in S America and with freedom sometimes come problems that have to work themselves out...we have had a free democracy for over 200 years and are still learning and growing....but as to local sports..I'm a transplant and still not a big fan of the Bucs or Rays...as for movies. I try to get to movies once or twice a month...saw Transformers with my son last weekend...really good kidflick..nice special effects but a little long for mesmokin drinker drinker
