This may seem silly and stupid. like the thoughts of the young usually are but here's what i think true love means and how it should be. this is what i hold in my heart and how i chose to love. Lets start with what love is; love is not just a word, its caring for a person deeply. True love is when you love some\one so much your willing to do anything for them. Its when you cant stand to live without that persone. when all you want to do is hold them in your arms every single minute of the day. True love is when your willing to give all of your heart to someone. when your not afraid to give everything you are to the persone in your life. True love is when your willing to give your own life when it means your partner will live on. Everything you have is theres and everything you are is becouse of them. when you truly love someone you wont ever hurt them on perpuse. and if you do hurt them you feel like you'll die and you'll try everything to make it up to them. true love is selfless and pure.Love is when you accept everything the good and bad in that person and ,love them anyway. True love is when your angrey and upset you chosse to forgive. You don't yell and if you do you apologiz. I believe that trrue love means that you will be willing to stay by ssomeones side not only till death do you part but even beond. True love is also knowing when to let go.its when you dont care if your not the one making them happy as long as they are. Love is transendent. After all the greatest gift ever given to us id LOVE. This is what i beleive love and true love is. I know its silly and childish but thats how i see things. I don't know if it holds true for everyone. I look at the world and i dont see this kind of love anymore i wish i did. I will never know true love but I do know what love is. I would give my life for a person but I would that for family or friends. I wouldn't do just anything for someone I love; like commit a crime for them, lie, or cheat for them. I have lines that I simply won't cross. I am more practical than emotional. I am all for sharing with someone but in this day and age; a person has to also protect themselves especially from people trying to scam you. I know of a woman that was married for 4 years happily until one day she came home from work to find both her house and bank account cleared out; the husband gone. I am skeptical about unconditional love from a partner but I feel fortunate to find that kind of love with friends and family. |

true love is unconditional and its wanting happiness for the other person reguardless of them finding happiness with you or someone else true love is selfless Yes ... that is love ... anything else is not

So many of us search with such a GREAT perception to FIND OUR PERFECT FIT,,,,That we over-look so many GREAT experiences to feel and live and TRY,,,to even KNOW the VALUE of what ANY REAL LOVE might taste like to our starving hearts of passion and wisdom...
And so MANY,,,,never get to meet a REAL TRUE LOVE,,for they have their heads turned easily to someone else who in their minds at THAT TIME,,fit their already mold of qualities to see.... SUCH IS LIFE AND LOVE!

true love is unconditional and its wanting happiness for the other person reguardless of them finding happiness with you or someone else true love is selfless love is always patient and kind its never jealous.. love is never boastfull nor concieted... it is never rude or selfish.. it does not take offense and is never resentfull..love takes no pleasure in other peoples pain... but delights in the truth... it is always ready to excuse.. to trust... to hope.. and to endure whatever comes  That's not written in a way that I've ever seen before, but I still recognize it as my favorite bible quote. I Corinthians 13:4-7 and the best definition of pure untainted love there is. You want true love, learn to love in this way. It's not as easy as you'd think. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear . |

True love is pretty much up to each of us to figure out. I think we all believe in it. But even when you do believe in something, sometimes it is hard to actually have the faith in it. Not surprising to understand why that is when the world we live in seems more inclined to want quick romances and moving on to something else when things get rough. We never want to fight anymore when we believe deep down we should. We would rather go on because fighting takes so much effort. And that makes us such a petty people. Or...it illustrates that we get involved for all the wrong reasons.

I think that true love should not put you in a position to compromise what you truly believe. True love means that you can't wait to be with that person and share all that has transpired during your day, and listening to them and what their day has been. I think that true love means you have found your soul mate, and though you may not agree on every little thing, you are both willing to accomodate the other. I think that one must be honest with themselves to understand if the love is fleeting or meant to last through all the really hard stuff that comes our way. I also think that real true love must be fed and must be given by one partner to the other. We cannot feed ourselves, but must be fed by our lover, If it becomes "one way" it surely will die.
Just my two cents worth, but that's been my experience. You can always tell true love when you see a couple that has it. |
