So... we have people who meet in grocery stores and people who never meet people. I can honestly say that I've never met anyone in a grocery store but I will try that zucchini suggestion next time!

Where do you meet people? I tend to meet a lot of people on my construction sites. There's something to be said about being a pain in someones butt...in a friendly way of course.

I don't go out looking to meet anyone but it's a great way to get a conversation started without looking like you're coming on to someone.

I don't do karaoke, but I like talking to random strangers in bars. I don't go out looking to meet someone to date, but it definitely leads to interesting conversation.

I meet a lot of people through my work. I have met a lot of new people since I started bowling. I have met so many fabulous people right here on Mingle.

Not really and I don't go out of my way to meet people either. I know people my age are out and about but Im more the girl sitting in the corner of the room writing down my thoughts.

I meet new people all the time. (in actual life) Lots of direct eye contact. A smile. A polite greeting or compliment. Or just smile and let the person behind you go ahead in line if they got fewer things. ......goes a long damned way. Makes it a hell of a lot easier to meet people instead of hiding in the shadows and peeing a little if someone touches you. I personally think that alot of people try to make themselves unapproachable. (it works)

(it works) I'm not sure that they try to make themselves unapproachable, but many people don't do anything at all to make themselves approachable. And yes, I totally agree that a smile and a greeting or compliment work very well. I don't really understand why people want to sit in the corner, frowning all the time.

Those of you who don't meet new people.. why? I can't imagine not wanting to meet new people at least once in a while.
