Finding someone that you can tolerate for longer than 2 weeks is already difficult enough, I can't possibly see how imposing some form of arithmomania is going to improve anyone's chances..

I don't really have any set limits. If it works, it works. I'd never turn something that worked away just because the numbers don't match. I guess with me numbers do matter. I am 52 years old and I couldn't date a 20 year old. A 20 year old is still a child in my eyes and the only thing someone that young wants from me is sex or to be his sugar mommy. I know lots of guys my age dating 20 year olds and to their surprise they are using the guy for money or until something better comes along. So, I did set age limits as maturity makes all the difference in the world to me.

as long as they are old enough so that Chris Hansen from Dateline NBC to catch a child predator doesn't jump from behind one curtain and as long as they are young enough so that The Grim Reaper doesn't jump from behind the other curtain This. Exactly this.

I actually generally date guys around my age...but have dated guys consiberably younger and older that I get along fantastically with. I guess for me it depends on the particular person.

That's why patience is a virtue I hold dear above all else. Take your time. There's no rush. I'm young, I got plenty of time ahead of me. I'm still not finished doing the things I've always wanted to do. I prefer a strong friendship as the basis, it could create something more worthwhile.

I'm still not finished doing the things I've always wanted to do. I prefer a strong friendship as the basis, it could create something more worthwhile. I prefer stoicism to patience.. A person can be patient, but the spontaneity of emotion can overwhelm even the most ardent practitioner..

biological age is not as much a factor as emotional age, so the only distinctions I make is(out of consideration for my children), I wont go out with anyone born in the 80's or since, as my eldest was born in the early 90s and it would be too strange and unfair for him to have to see one of his peers as a 'stepfather'
