CHURCH OF SATAN by ANTON LAVEY. A friend of mine told me about this after surfing through the net, he said they already have where they meet in nigeria and i stand to gain a lot from this group FAME, POWER, MONEY, RICHES, CONNECTIONS, and POSSESSIONS. Pls ILLUMINATE on this is it an OCCULT? Or a FREEMANSONS, CONFRATERNITY, because the name scares me! CHURCH and SATAN, what an irony?

Read the Bible. Then. Do the exact opposite of everything it teaches. I mean, come on, the leaders call themselves, 'Magus'. Seriously? There is no loyalty in a group like that; because that idea is against the very concepts in which they 'preach'. Money, power, fame? How? By drinking the spiked kool-aid? Please. |

This is real satanism and not the BS bible/hollywood version of it. Its an earth based religion and they do not believe in any god, gods or deities. Nor do they believe in higher life forms and believe that man is highest life form in then universe. They do not live by any set of rules or laws, but live knowing right from wrong and what you choose will have equal or greater positive or negative consequences. The church has strict guidelines for remaining a card carrying member. If your involved in criminal activity and they find out, your out. |

Sadly since his LaVey's passing the current leaders have gone a bit nutso. It used to be a viable but theatrical alternative to the christian mindset but it's just stupid now. If you want to know more read his books, and keep away from their websites

I'm not sure if its 'real' satanism (other uses of the word pre-date this use by AL), but I agree - this satanism is not devil worship and is not the kind of satanism presented in the media. Hey I have the book. The entire organization started out at a parody about the ridiculousness of religion and ritual. It has probably evolved into stupid stuff by now. The basic dogma is pretty cool and reasonable, but they don't actually believe in or worship Satan. Its probably as stupid as people who go around pretending to be were wolves and vampires. Its all play acting. |

I agree, and psychics, and ghost hunters, and people speaking in tongues, dowsers, homeopaths, reiki masters, wiccans, and basically everyone who believes in something they cant see, hear, touch, taste or test for. Hey I could be wrong, right? So JB how do you tell the difference between what is believable and what is not? Feelings? |
