honestly, Jesus called noone a 'christian'

its a fairly modern term to describe those who believe in the Christ

and its really not relevant to anyone but humans because God is not going to look at a label (self given or not)

so we can call ourself christian, and we can define for ourselves what we feel that means,,,,all day long,,,,

but loving Christ is not in the traditions or the bible, its in how we treat each other and our temple (our bodies) and we really cant decide whether someone else is 'christian', we can only decide if we wish to define ourself as such

Exactly, "Christian" is not just a title. It is a way of life. Goes with that saying "Walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, that sucker's a duck".

But yes, Jesus called no one a Christian. For there could not have possibly been a "Christian" before Jesus walked this Earth.

Root of Christian, is Christ. And Jesus is our Christ.

Jesus has always been, yes. But has not always been "Jesus". Or our "Christ".

Christ -
1. an ideal type of humanity
2. messiah

Jesus came to give the instructions on being the ideal type of person and is our messiah. Before Jesus walked the Earth, the instructions were given to multiple different individuals, thus there was no messiah or "person" ideal type of humanity.

So therefore after Jesus walked this Earth in his form of the flesh, we had an ideal type of humanity, and by his crussifixion he is the now the messiah.

Jesus not being a Christian is probably why he never called anyone else a Christian ...after Jesus died those same Apostles that learn under his tutelage became Jewish Christians that spread his word as it was taught to them...

Jewish Christians taught this to Gentiles and those teachings became Catholicism and taught by the Catholic Church ....those that didn't want to follow the teachings of Jesus broke from the Church

and this is why there are some many different denominations of Christians and why those that choose not to follow the original teaching of Jesus under Catholism are not Christians

this is why it's considered a miracle to find a Christian that follow more than two of the teachings of Jesus minus The Ten Commandments and minus being in the Catholic Clergy

Why would they have to follow the teachings of Jesus under Catholism? Why couldn't they follow the teachings of Jesus, period. That is what a Christian is, one whom follows the teachings of Jesus. For Jesus is our "Christ" eg., "Christ"ians.

The early Christians did just follow the teaching of Jesus. Then Rome decided to create a religion for the people and they invented a new one that was designed to embrace a lot of pagan beliefs so they could convert more people.

That's when the true teachings of Jesus were twisted into the messed up misunderstood dogma that religion has become today.

What pagan beliefs you might ask:
Christmas for one. That is not Jesus's birthday. Its all symbolic of the pagan holiday and winter solstice celebrations.

The early Christians may not have, but that is irrelevant. Being a Christian isn't some title one wishes to pick up one day. It is more then just a title, it is a way of life. "Chirst"ian eg., Christ like. No we can not be that on our own will, but that is what a Christian strives to be like, to be like our Christ. Showing of love and compassion to even those that do us wrong.

Yes, but when one follows the teachings say as "Christianity, Cahtolism, ect" They are not following the teachings of Jesus. They are following the teachings of whatever religion they have said they are. That is why I do not claim to be Christian, Catholic, or any other belief as such. I follow the scriptures and the teachings of Jesus, not the teachings of Christianity, ect.

I've asked you to name all the teachings of Jesus that you personally followed minus the Ten Commandments ..and you couldn't name two ....a Christian would follow all of them....under Catholicism you would be required to follow all of them

I don't lie, I don't fight, I don't curse, I love everyone, I treat everyone with the utmost respect, I don't bring harm to any one else, I love Jesus with all my existence, I thank him daily, and much more, but this is a good roughing of it.

And yes, you are proving my point. "Under Catholicism you would be REQUIRED to follow all of them".

The only one tha REQUIRES me to do anything is Jesus Christ, not Christianity, Cahtolics, or any other title you wish to throw out there. The ONLY one that requires anything of me is Jesus Christ.
