ONSLOW COUNTY-NC -- An Onslow County woman was arrested Wednesday night for sex crimes she helped her husband commit on a 5-year-old.
"You can't sugar-coat what's happened here," said Sheriff Ed Brown.

Laura Elizabeth Anderson, 23, was incarcerated in the Onslow County Jail.
Her bond was set at $100,000. She is charged with first-degree sexual offense, indecent liberties, and crime against nature.
The Onslow County Sheriff's Office assisted NCIS in executing a search warrant that led to her arrest.

"The wife (Laura Elizabeth Anderson) was on base," said Sheriff Brown, "had actually been picked up at the main gate and carried to the residence for the purpose of serving the warrant, not only on the residence, but also on the computers they had in the residence.
"An NCIS agent had received information that Anderson and her husband were involved in recording video of sex acts they jointly participated in on a 5-year-old.

According to an NCIS report, they would give sleeping pills to the child and perform the sex acts while she was unconscious.
"They do have evidence sufficient to support what you've been told at this time," said Brown.

Anderson's husband is a sailor assigned to Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital.

He and another sailor are persons of interest in this case. Their names have not been officially released yet.

The Sheriff doesn't know the child's condition. "You can ponder that in your mind, the damage that has been done to that child at 5 years of age, and the destruction of her future life that has been done at that time," he said.

NCIS is also investigating whether there may be additional victims.

Seems a wee strange they did not 'release'
the husband's name.

Probably because they didn't want to bring damage on to his unit and also didn't want to damage the cases their are building and looking for that he and the other guy is involved with.

I think rape should be a minimum of a life sentance. I think any sex crime against a child should be a Capitol offense (in a couple states it is), I think that any rape that causes bodily harm to another person or where they catch a life threatening STD should be a capitol offense also.
