Well I didn't think it was but seems like now you have to talk forever, tell everything but your shoe size, and it has to be this major production.

Well i would stick to your original line of thinking....dating should be fairly light hearted, and should not include giving out too much detail about yourself at such an early stage, dating is just a taster of how you get on with a person, you may decide you dont want a relationship after dating, so why put so much into it?

It is not hard to date in my opinion, just hard to sort through what everyone else's real intentions are. If you are open about what you are looking for, and honest about who you are and meet up with people who are pretty much the same, then really it goes pretty smoothly.... of course in most cases lately it does not go like that does it? Chalk it up to the chaotic elements that are life, love and the pursuit of furthering both.

I do not like to go on a "interview date" ...as I call it. Where you meet for a date and all the questions fly out. No thanks.
A date should be fun. If the chemistry is there then things will unfold in due time. That is why so many people lie about who they are. The pressure of having to impress them overwhelms them.

Actually I don't mind all the questions up front. Put it all out on the table as soon as possible. Then you don't waste alot of time trying to figure out if you are compatible. Problem is, alot of people are deceiving about who they really are, and when their true colors are revealed, you've invested alot of time and emotion into it.

Dateing I mean? Something simple for a first meet? Any ideas why so much drama? K.I.S.S. First meets should be casual, in an environment where both feel comfortable. Not too cheap, but not too fancy either. You don't want the first meet to be somewhere that would be difficult to have a conversation, you want to be able to talk and get to know one another. You can come up with free and low cost dates that are not cheap and lazy, you just have to be creative. |

I question a man who rolls out the "Red Carpet" on our first date. Even if he can afford it, it's fishy. I like to meet in a general low key environment that is natural.

meeting for coffee is a goood first meetup. I don't call that a date though.

A date should be fun with little or no pressure.
Save the inqusition for another time, if the date goes well. Just go out and have fun, be yourself. all the questions can be answered in due time!!! |

The first time I got stood up, and the only time, was a person I met on here and we agreed to meet somewhere crowded and local. He never showed obviously, I think he had a girlfriend. When I texted him and called him to see where the hell he was, he first txt back he was running late then I waited a bit longer and called and he went straight to voicemail. That IDIOT!
