I often see in profiles that people do not have time to date, which is why they joined a dating site. This does not make sense to me, because once you meet someone, you're going to have to have time to date.

So, do you have time to date? If not, how do you expect to meet and get to know people?

If you don't have time to date, what are you doing on a dating site? Seriously that is like going to buffet when you are on a diet.

OK, bad metaphor.

I have time to date. Or perhaps it is better to say I can always make time for a date if I find someone interested in going on one.

I have all the time to date. I have no energy and I can find noone who would be interested in pursuing me pursuin them.

So kartagane, when you go on a date, with a woman, is it possible that you can take me along, as the person who would be interested in going on one, with you?

No matter what is going on in my life, I will make time to date someone I'm interested in.

I have time but I'm not interested.

Hoping that will change.

You mean, you will stay uninterested in, and will have no time for, dating any more?

So, do you have time to date?

Absolutely. It would cut into the time I spend looking on the internet for gray pens, but sacrifices must be made.

If not, how do you expect to meet and get to know people?

I don't. I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen either way.

I concur. It happened to me this way, because I am not good at getting dates. But it would be the same if I was too good, or just average at getting dates.

Things happen nearing sixty.

Some people who are in steady, loving or unloving, or boring relationships, like in a marriage that is blissful or which ran ashoal, are also not going to date.

Nobody is going to date.

At the moment, because of the family crisis with my Dad, no. What knocks me out I put a note to that effect at the top of my profile and my email lit up like a Christmas tree. Can't figure that out.

No I don't have time to date.

I get to know people by talking to them a lot.

Most of the people I really like live too far away to actually get to meet them in person.

But I wouldn't have time for a relationship either. Maybe a weekend at some resort hotel, some fun and entertainment, and sex if the chemistry is good.

That's about all I would have time for. Then I would crawl back into the hum drum rut I call my life. LOL.

So you wouldn't even make time for someone if they lived close enough to meet?

I have the time, and I will make time being for me finding a mate is a priority in my life, looking for one man to be with for the rest of our lives.

I am guessing Singmesweet some people on dating sites are not here for dating but for other reasons. One could be they are on it to get sex. Or, could be con artists to swindle money. Others, just for friendship and not dating but to build on-line community friendships in the forum or chat rooms.

I joined to find my mate, to date and get to know him through the means of the internet. I have heard of people who have found their true love through meeting via the internet using a dating site.

Do not be disappointed Singmesweet I guess we have rather to be patient for not all are here for the same reason such as to date.

I'm not disappointed :). I'm just curious as to what others have to say. Thanks for responding!

Yes I would if I had gotten to know them and liked them. But nobody lives close to me so far. I live in a very small town a long way from the larger cities in Colorado.

My life is busy and I rarely leave work.
But to meet my man, I made time and still do, otherwise it would have been useless for me to even bother trying to find someone.
