I'm horrible at staying on topic. In an effort to not destroy other people's blogs with my shenanigans I invite you to join me here to talk about stuff... and things. (but mostly stuff)

Yesterday my 4 year old nephew was digging a hole in the back yard, when I asked him what he was doing he told me "digging a hole so I can go to china"

My nephew cracks me up... he insisted on mopping the floor once and then called me over to view his handy work. "Look at that floor, you can see your reflection in it!"

Lol

My four year old autistic nephew was sitting on his bed playing with my cat. He was putting his hand palm up to the cats chest. The cat was laying kinda on his side with one paw up in the air. When my nephew touched the cats chest, the cat swatted his paw flat onto my nephews hand. My nephew looked at me and said "He's giving me high five."

I jokingly tell people he's already in college, because YSU has a special program for autistic children that he is in. They even let him play with an iPad.

He'll be in regular school next year though. He's high functioning autistic.

my son is on the spectrum- he is in regular high school but special classes for the most part- he does go in with the NT kids for things like chorus and art and study hall but they do alot with life skills and socialization- its a great program

I thin it's good for them to be around others like that. It can be bad at times, but for the most part, I think it's good.

fully mainstreaming him was not a good idea- we tried it- a complete failure!!! it took me a long time to gain back the developmental milestones that were lost doing that to him

Stuff is rather generic whereas things are more specific.
