Agree with that Hippie

Heck..since i've been here, i've been called a man twice, a biotch countless times, an a$$hole, a dominatrix, a slut, and various other things that would make you cringe. Honestly....i don't think i have the time to be me, because apparently i'm too busy being all of the above

Well... I was just trying to throw a positive spin on this...

You know i like you a lot.

To ease your mind, I've also been called a man, another man, a cringe, a crimple, a crinckle, a crunk, a carengeragnerang, a southern baptist minister, a self-loving snow-hawk, an infiltrator (during the Great Sewage Worker's Rebellion)(not the glorious one, but the other one), and a spy movie aficionado.

Acknowledged Wux...but i do like Justin Case

I would post butt naked pictures of me right now to prove it's really me.

....but, The mods spank me when I do it (unless I just mingle streak) and I get private letters from the staff explaining why they gotta suspend me.

...Rules.....

Blah!!!!

Some Mingle2 participants are upset as the result of a very unfortunate matter. So, in response to that issue, I want to discuss a related issue.

How is anyone to know that you really are who you say you are?

Although this question is one that women may ask men, I think that it applies to everyone.

* * * * * * *

Since I'm the one asking the question, I'll be the first to answer it.

On several occasions, I have stated that my life is literally an open book. No, you can't purchase that book at Barnes & Noble or download it onto a Kindle (at least not yet), but you can learn all about the way that I am in my human guise.

In order to be as transparent as possible, I placed in my Mingle2 profile the URL to an online book of mine, which begins with a story about the death of my wife. The book contains a "Bio" section which identifies the church that I belong to and gives a hyperlink to the church's website. I am accountable to the elders of my church, and they can confront me if I engage in harmful behavior. Anyone here who has a concern about me can contact those elders. If needed, I will give people the e-mail addresses of women who have direct contact with me. If you want to, then you could also look at my Facebook page. Just ask me for its URL.

Anyway, I don't want anyone to have doubts about the "Human" me. That version of me doesn't have a police record, by the way. As for the "Melmacian" me, all of his Melmacian records were destroyed when planet Melmac was destroyed. Since arriving on planet Earth, he has been a perfect angel.

No....I'm really a 30 year old sexy woman trapped inside this old worn out body!

But the ones who have met me in person, say that I'm the same here as in real life.

Does it really matter how or what you say when people are going to have their own ASSumptions anyway?

It never ceases to amaze me how people justify their "opinion" of others by slapping a label on them and placing them in a neat little box of thier very limited imagination. It matters not whether you are online, at work or out socialising at an event. People will judge you based on how you look, what you say and how you behave.

Me??...i confess to being a shite stirrer of sorts by throwing tongue in cheek questions or responses out to the masses. Their reaction to such is most enlightening.

I suppose i could have made an anonymous "sock account" to pose the questions or respond to questions, but that is a cowardly way of going about things in my eyes.

There are a few really cool people on this site who have me laughing and indeed admiring their online persona whom i know i would have a great time hanging out with in real life.

No matter what or whom one may seem to be online. There is much more to that person in life.... Regardless if one thinks they know me here that is only a part of the real me.... It takes one to be around another more then once in a while to see the real person within.....

What is funny is even those you think you really know they have things within their life that you most likely have no clue about...

But then one will never know unless they take that chance and meet others...

Even the most known killers some will say they had no idea they were like that....

So do we really ever know another totally?whoa

How do you figure out if someone is who they say via email? If they are a real person here, and not a scammer setting you up?

I have had scammers contact me and you know how they go on about you and wanting to know more about you etc, when in truth, they never even read your profile.

So, that being said, how do you figure out if this is a "real" nice guy on the line or a scammer trying to get you to write about yourself so they can use the English to make another fake profile?

I would hate to think I slighted someone unfairly. Are there any "tricks to the trade" as they say to know?

No you should not feel obligated to put out your personal information to the entire world. That is not really a good idea anyway. You should just be true to yourself, but that does not mean putting out all your personal information. You are just not obligated or required to do that.

This is my question on another post here. I am suspicious when someone asks for my personal "anything" right off the bat. While I consider myself warm, amiable and fun, I do not care to discuss with strangers, especially those I have not yet met, my personal info. That is reserved for the one I feel I want to get more involved with.

You can't know. But, the same can be said for people you know in real life.

Time is the best revealer of truth/reality.
