Topic: A very unfortunate matter concerning a Mingle2 moderator

We are shocked and saddened by the situation, just like a number of you. We have removed this person from our team, our site, and we will cooperate with any investigations by the authorities. A few more points which need to be made clear: 1) Our moderators DO NOT have access to your information. They are only able to edit, move, close, and delete posts or topics. 2) From here on out, we plan on doing background checks on Mingle2 moderators. 3) We do not allow anybody under the age of 18 on this site, so the situation could have been a good deal more unsettling. Glad to know Mingle has dealt reasonably quickly with this. I was never a friend to Lex but I after posting with him occasionally on here I was at least a little surprised at what I saw on ABC's website this morning. Thanks Again for keeping us "in the know".

Thanks for sharing and letting the fellow Mingle2 people on here know. This was shocking to learn and know but I hope you do do the back ground cks as necessary to insure safety on this site. Please insure safety to all people on here continually thankyou.

Strewth. I feel sick because he tried to pose as some innocent bookworm. Hope he is so ashamed of himself. Hey, no wonder he kept complaining of not being able to find datable women. They could probably sense who he was already. I'm sure i seen his profile pic on 'Alternativehookups'. Man. Some people are best left indoors with no internet.

Thank you for letting us know of this development. It's scarey enough on the internet as it is.. We all, in the Mingle family appreciate the quick way you handled this.

I never liked him and I admit to feeling Schadenfreude when I first heard this. But then I read the descriptions of the crimes that he committed and was horrified. Speaking as a father, it's unthinkable that my kids have to share a world with predators like him. I applaud Mingle2's administration for their handling of this and the preventative steps they have put into place.

I am glad to see this is NOW being taken seriously. We deserve at least basic security measures while on dating sites. This is the site I met my love (peccy) at, so I am glad something is being put in place for future MODS. I shutter to think what this creep was up to. Hope the police monitor him better this time...I mean all these years freely roamin the internet...writing books..unbelievable!

am i missing something? i understood the article was about him failing to register an alias name. he was convicted and was required to register (which he did), then he used an alias (which he failed to register). was he still committing sex crimes or was he picked up for failing to register an alias?
